・What is TOKYO ART＆LIVE City?

""

Tokyo is a world-renowned city with a wealth of culture and art. Each region has developed with its own characteristics, such as Hibiya, Ginza, Ueno, Shibuya, and Shinjuku. We will strengthen the Hibiya/Ginza area as a base for disseminating the appeal of Tokyo's culture, and by holding events of various genres that incorporate traditional culture, we will develop programs that allow anyone to easily enjoy art and culture, and strengthen the local community. We will disseminate the appeal of the diverse cultural and artistic resources of Japan to the world.

The “Tokyo Art & Live City Initiative Executive Committee'' (secretariat: Geidankyo), which was launched in collaboration with 67 art centers in the Hibiya and Ginza areas that are diverse and full of charm, has so far been recognized as one of the world's comprehensive city rankings, In order to contribute to our goal of becoming number one in terms of exchange, we have promoted the dissemination of culture and art as a "face" through collaboration among cultural and art centers and organizations. Using this concept as a model, new initiatives to revitalize the city through culture have begun in Minami, Osaka, showing its ripple effect beyond Tokyo.
