"More Than Just Cute!? Pingu Exhibition" is the inaugural event for the newly opened "YURAKUCHO MUSEUM" in Yurakucho, Tokyo. The exhibition is themed around an amusement park and is an interactive experience where visitors can see, touch, and enjoy Pingu's previously unknown charms.
The museum shop offers over 100 items featuring Pingu, who is "more than just cute!" as seen in the exhibition, allowing you to enjoy wearing Pingu or spending time with him at home. These are limited-edition items only available at this exhibition, and we have a selection of items that will lift your spirits and make you want to show them off to everyone.
A highlight is the series that allows you to enjoy the trendy customization experience. Choose your favorite Pingu and create your own original goods. Furthermore, we will also be offering collaborative goods with miniature photographer and artist Tatsuya Tanaka. These are special goods that can only be obtained here, using artwork by Tanaka that will be unveiled for the first time at this exhibition.<\/p>\n

Stop-motion animation was created by Swiss filmmaker Ottmar Gutmann.
2025 marked the 45th anniversary of the creation of the test film that would become the prototype for "Pingu" in 1980.
