Group exhibition by 6 young artists<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

At the Pola Museum Annex (Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo), the \u201cPola Museum Annex Exhibition 2023\u201d will be held from February 10 (Friday) to April 16 (Sunday), 2023, divided into the first half and second half.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Since 1996, the POLA Art Foundation has been subsidizing the overseas training of young artists with the aim of improving their expertise in the field of Japanese art. In this exhibition, we will exhibit the works of six people selected from recent trainees. This event is held every year with the aim of providing an opportunity for many people to see the results of the training and to make use of it in their future artistic activities.<\/p>\n

This time, the 21st, we will introduce the first and second half under the supervision of Shunsuke Kijima, the director of the Pola Museum of Art, under the title of "Independence and Integration."<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Shunsuke Kijima: Director of the Pola Museum of Art. Born in Tottori Prefecture in 1939. Graduated from Keio University Faculty of Letters, majoring in aesthetics and art history. Studied at the University of Florence, Graduate School of New York University, and Institute of Art History. He has served as the director of the Museum of Modern Art, Gunma, the director of the Tatebayashi Museum of Art, Gunma, and as a professor at Kyoritsu Women's University. Major publications include "The Beautiful World of the Book of Hours" (Chuokoronsha), "25 Contemporary American Artists" (Shueisha), "Picasso Changed by Women" (Chuko Bunko), "Women Loved by Masterpieces". A Story of a Painter and a Model\u201d (Shueisha), \u201cKlimt and Wien\u201d (Rikuyosha), \u201cEuropean Decorative Art in 3 Volumes\u201d (Chuokoron Shinsha), etc.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The POLA Art Foundation is a public interest incorporated foundation that provides assistance to young artists in the field of fine arts and other art specialists. Research activity themes mainly in the art field are solicited from the general public, selected and subsidized by a selection committee composed of experts, and the following activities are carried out with the aim of contributing to the improvement and development of Japanese culture.<\/p>\n
