Hiroshima Brand Shop TAU (hereinafter referred to as TAU), which opened in July 2012 as a base for promoting the Hiroshima brand, is celebrating its 12th anniversary this month.
Over the past 12 years, TAU has become a popular shop that boasts the highest sales among antenna shops in Tokyo. Rather than simply selling "things," we have been proactively working to disseminate information as a place where people can experience "things," such as various events and special events to promote the charms of Hiroshima. As a result, we have been able to function as an information dissemination hub that attracts many tourists from both within and outside of Japan to visit Hiroshima.
This time, we will be holding the "12th Anniversary Thanksgiving" from July 11th (Thursday) to 31st (Wednesday) to focus on the attractive "red" that symbolizes Hiroshima, such as the professional baseball team Hiroshima Toyo Carp, which has many enthusiastic fans for many years, the Great Torii Gate of Miyajima, a World Heritage site that stands in the sea and attracts attention from around the world, and the autumn leaves that are also the prefecture's representative sweets, and TAU will be dyed bright red. In addition, during the same period, we will be running an SNS campaign where you can win popular TAU products. At the 12th Anniversary Thanksgiving, we will be gathering Hiroshima's attractive "bright red" products and introducing gourmet food and products that are perfect for the hot summer, which you can enjoy while in Tokyo.
During this period, we will be offering delicious spicy gourmet food that is perfect for getting through the hot summer.
At "Enotokinoto" on the first basement floor, we offer "Fried Red Chicken with Tomato Sauce," which uses thigh meat from Hiroshima red chickens that have been raised slowly in Aki-Takata City and are known for their soft, chewy texture, and is finished with a sweet and sour tomato sauce.
At Hiroshima CAFE on the first floor, you can enjoy the numbing spiciness of Kingken's "Dry Tantan Noodles with Hiroshima Red Topping," a soul food of the prefecture that always requires a line, and the bright red "Onomichi Azumi Beer" with the refreshing aroma of juniper berries, which is served from the evening.
At "Koi Koi" on the second floor, you can enjoy "Burning Red Hell Okonomiyaki," topped with shrimp and squid stir-fried with kimchi, while at "MERI Principessa" on the third floor, you can enjoy "Kamaage Shirasu Arrabiata from Kure," which uses plenty of kamaage Shirasu caught that morning and delivered from Kure City, combined with pasta in a spicy tomato sauce.
In addition, we will have a variety of ingredients available for you to enjoy "spicy Hiroshima gourmet" at home, such as green onion chili oil and spicy miso that will increase the spiciness and richness of your food just by adding it, as well as chili powder grown without pesticides in Hiroshima.
On the second floor, the Kumano Brush Select Shop will be selling limited edition red versions of the popular S series powder brushes in limited quantities. The popular Carp goods corner will also have a selection of red goods, including insulated tumblers and thermos bottles, to help you stay hydrated in the summer.
In addition, during the event period, we will be running a social media campaign where 5 people will be randomly selected from those who follow TAU's official Twitter account (formerly Twitter) and post the relevant content with the hashtag #TAU12thAnniversary to win popular TAU content.
