A group exhibition “SQUARE EXHIBITION” by 20 young artists will be held at the gallery “ART FOR THOUGHT” in Ginza, Tokyo.

Squares are shapes that bring about stability and balance. On the other hand, 20 young artists are attempting to express themselves in squares, which give no room for escape.

Exhibition Overview

■Exhibition title

■Period: Friday, September 13, 2024 – Saturday, September 28, 2024, 11:00 – 19:00
(Closed on Sundays, Mondays and public holidays / Open until 17:00 on Saturdays)

■Contents
The square is a shape that brings stability and balance. On the other hand, it can also be seen as a shape that leaves no room for escape.

I think that a frame that cannot be expanded vertically or horizontally poses a challenge for artists. If you want to depict space, you need horizontal space, and if you want to depict the appearance or presence of a person, you need vertical space.
I would like to explore the possibilities of what kind of expression is possible in an enclosed square with no escape route.
Please come and enjoy the exhibit.

Naaron @_naaron_
Born in Tokyo in 1997, raised in Koto Ward, he attended art school for high school and university, where he learned specialized knowledge of modeling and oil painting.
Around that time, he was influenced by the powerful philosophical messages of John Lennon, the artist he admired the most, and began to feel a desire to express himself.
He was fascinated by the illegal and unique world of the streets as a hobby, skateboarding, and found a common ground with graffiti and other forms of free expression that are not bound by conventions and have a strong message, so he became absorbed in the world of art.
After graduating, he worked as a freelancer, mainly in Tokyo.
Seeking out an expression that only he can achieve, he specializes in all-round contemporary artistic expression that is not bound by conventions, centering on oil paintings, and that focuses on the artist rather than the work itself.
A maverick who straddles the world of street skateboarding and the contemporary art world.
