Ginza Wako will be holding the "Masato Nishida Exhibition: Fushi" by Japanese painter Masato Nishida at the Seiko House Hall (formerly Wako Hall) from November 7th (Thurs) to 17th (Sun).

Please come and see Nishida's works that are like "joints," in which he looks deeply into the relationship between things and time, and depicts the history and culture of human activities with rich texture.

Masato Nishida (Masato Nishida) Biography
Born in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture in 1952
1978 Graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Japanese Painting
1995 27th Nitten Exhibition (Special Selection, Purchased by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, 1998)
1997 14th Yamatane Museum of Art Award Exhibition (Excellent Award)
Judge for the Nitten Exhibition in 2003, 2008, 2013 and 2019
2005 6th Suga Tatehiko Grand Prize Exhibition (Grand Prize)
2007 Hyogo Prefecture Cultural Award
2008 – Became professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Kyoto City University of Arts (until 2018); received the Kobe City Cultural Award
2016: Reorganized 3rd Nitten Exhibition (Nitten Member Award)
2022 Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award for Regional Cultural Merit
2023 10th Nitten Exhibition (Prime Minister's Award)
2024 Kobe Shimbun Culture Award Currently a special member of the Nitten Exhibition, a member of the Seito Society, and a visiting professor at Osaka University of Arts
