Mitsui Fudosan and The 5th Floor present "c/o," a special exhibition by the next generation of young curators
The project is jointly directed by three participants in "Pre-Curatorial," an educational program for young curators organized by The 5th Floor last year: Aoki Miho (Kanazawa), Kawaguchi Ryodai (Tokyo), and Hirano Seigo (Kyoto). As a practice for sharing and examining the differences in systems and practices experienced in each city, they will create a "space for reaffirming one's position" in a space where visitors come and go.
* "Pre-Curatorial" was held with the support of the Taguchi Art Collection.

■EASTEAST_TOKYO 2025
EASTEAST_ is a Tokyo-based art fair founded by cultural professionals active in art and related fields, with a spirit of independence and solidarity. In 2023, the fair held at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo) attracted approximately 10,000 people. It introduced artists, communities, and art projects born from Tokyo's rich cultural scene, and attempted to create a space for them to come together.
This fall, EASTEAST_TOKYO 2025 will mark its third year, and in addition to first-time participating Japanese galleries and spaces, it will also invite notable galleries from overseas. The diverse program emphasizes the reality and potential of expression, including forums where people from diverse backgrounds in art and culture can exchange opinions on issues emerging from on-site practice, and off-site events that directly connect with Tokyo and other local cultural scenes and communities. EASTEAST_ is both an art fair and an experimental platform for exploring new cultural ecosystems originating in Asia. It aims to be a forum where commerciality and cultural practice coexist, fostering exchanges that foster new relationships and perspectives.

■The 5th Floor
The 5th Floor is a curatorial space that opened in Ikenohata, Nezu, in February 2020. It presents an ambitious curatorial-led program that utilizes the three uniform yet unique rooms on the fifth floor of a former employee dormitory, as well as unique spaces such as the balcony and rooftop. In addition to exhibitions, the space also hosts workshops, a "Curator in Residence" program that invites domestic and international curators to support their research and exhibition planning, and unique educational programs, all of which support the emergence and activities of the next generation of artists and curators.
