November 28, 2025 – February 25, 2026: Art Aquarium will be surrounded by flowers this winter
Art Aquarium Museum GINZA (located at Ginza Mitsukoshi) will be holding a special event, "Flower Aquarium Gala – The Colorful Exhibition of Goldfish and Flowers," from Friday, November 28, 2025 to Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
A vibrant collaboration of flowers and goldfish that brightens up the winter season
This winter, Art Aquarium will offer a more emotional approach to goldfish viewing and an immersive experience, with a presentation that expresses the "beauty, feelings, change, and seasons" that people entrust to flowers.
"GALA" means a colorful banquet or festival. The special performance will unfold with the overlapping colors of goldfish and flowers.
Enjoy the fantastical collaboration of vibrant flowers and goldfish that will delight both your eyes and your heart, especially during the cold winter season.
■A popular flower brand joins the surreal fantasy world of goldfish and flowers!
This special image is a special collaboration between two of Japan's leading flower brands: Hibiya Kadan, a major player in the flower industry with over 150 years of history, and ALL GOOD FLOWERS, the company behind the popular "jumbo flower" line on social media.
In a fantastical space where goldfish swim, we will create a "World of Goldfish and Flowers" that combines the brand's individuality and creativity.
"I want flowers to bloom especially in winter"
Together with these two brands, who share the same theme as this special event, we will bring you a spectacular exhibition that can only be seen this season.
Winter is generally a season when there are few flowers, but for this reason, we have boldly used colorful and voluminous flowers, along with goldfish, to create a "winter art space full of vitality."
■A new fantasy space of goldfish and flowers blooming in winter.
A unique "flower scene" that combines the elegance of goldfish and flowers will unfold in Ginza. This exhibition brings flowers that do not bloom in winter to life beautifully through water, light, and the life of goldfish. Come experience the vibrant world that is born from the harmony between goldfish and flowers, with goldfish as the main focus.
● Oiran Flower Dance "Miniature Flower Garden" Floral Arrangement by Ikebana Artist Shogo Kariyazaki
This gorgeous spatial artwork fills the space where the "Oiran" aquarium artworks are lined up with various flowers. An elegant and gorgeous space with goldfish and flowers unfolds before your eyes. Enjoy an immersive space surrounded by flowers.
Collaboration with Shogo Kariyazaki
・Please tell us your thoughts on this collaboration with Art Aquarium, which combines flowers and goldfish.
Kariyazaki: "Goldfish are an art form that has been loved by people since the Edo period, and their graceful dancing form embodies the beauty of movement, like a swaying kimono. On the other hand, ikebana brings out the maximum vitality in plants and has the beauty of stillness, spreading its fleeting brilliance throughout the space. By bringing together these opposing Japanese beauties of movement and stillness in one space, I have created a one-of-a-kind fantasy world."
・Please tell us the thoughts behind the Oiran Flower Dance.
Kariyazaki: "The glittering worldview of the aquarium piece 'Oiran' is connected to the spirit of 'flower.' When collaborating with this space, it was important to me to combine the 'vital movement of goldfish' with the 'glow of life in flowers.' I created a space where the watery world of swimming goldfish and the world of blooming flowers blend together, enveloping you in a sense of happiness that seems otherworldly."
●Goldfish Corridor "Ephemeral Bloom" Floral Arrangement by Hibiya Kadan
In this area, created by Hibiya Kadan, professionals in flowers and greenery, the delicate colors and beautiful composition of the flowers blend beautifully with the world of Art Aquarium. Along with swimming goldfish, you can enjoy a surreal space where a variety of flowers coexist.

・Production concept: "The Cycle of Emotions – Feelings Blooming in Water"
Along with the goldfish swaying in the water, the flowers quietly reflect people's hearts.
The gorgeous dahlia represents gratitude and elegance, while the noble peony represents compassion.
The straight gerbera harbors "hope"–
The flowers, laid out like a flower water basin, sparkle momentarily, weaving together changing emotions.
This space, where light, water, flowers, and life resonate with each other, teaches us the beauty that truly exists within “transience.''
Lose track of time in the corridor filled with dancing goldfish and enjoy a moment when your mind becomes clear.

Dahlias mean "gratitude," peonies mean "compassion," and gerberas mean "hope." Each flower's meaning reflects the flow and warmth of a person's heart.
We hope you will feel your mind become clear as you are surrounded by the sparkling water and colorful flowers.
