This exhibition, themed "Footprints of Time," features approximately 60 works, including paintings that evoke a sense of nostalgia with motifs such as animals, children, and clocks, as well as ceramic works and original illustrations from precious picture books.
In particular, the works using "light and shadow," which represent a new form of expression, change expression with the viewer's gaze, speaking to the hearts of each individual viewer.
Please take this opportunity to enjoy the richly colored and warm world of paintings.

In preparation for the "Rimako Horikawa Painting Exhibition – Footprints of Time," I've been thinking a lot about what it truly means for us to be alive in the present moment.
To live means to leave your footprints everywhere, and to weave your own individual stories, even small ones. Now, more than ever, I'm deeply realizing how wonderful that is, and I wanted to depict those small, personal stories in my paintings.
Furthermore, I have always enjoyed drawing images and forms, and I feel that this enjoyment is a natural progression for me.
