As a special exhibition to commemorate the reopening of the cultural hub, approximately 400 pieces of Gimel jewelry are on display.
Wako Corporation will be hosting the "Gimel Exhibition – A Hundred Flowers in Full Bloom -" from Thursday, August 27th to Sunday, September 6th, 2026, at the Seiko House Hall on the 6th floor of Seiko House, which will be reopening as a new cultural hub. This exhibition will allow visitors to fully experience the world of Gimel, Japan's proud high jewelry brand.

Gimel has its atelier in a lush, natural setting on the slopes of Mount Rokko, and creates beautiful jewelry that captivates people through its uncompromising use of the finest materials and exceptional craftsmanship.
Wako Main Store has been offering permanent sales of this product since 2013, and it has been loved by many customers.
This exhibition, themed "A Hundred Flowers in Full Bloom," brings together approximately 400 colorful pieces of jewelry inspired by flowers that bloom in each of the four seasons. Among them, the particularly gorgeous "Peony Brooch," with its mother-of-pearl petals set in mother-of-pearl, is a masterpiece showcasing Gimel's exceptional skill and will be unveiled for the first time.
Furthermore, the venue, Seiko House Hall, will be reopening on Thursday, August 27th, after renovations. This exhibition is the first special exhibition to celebrate this reopening.

<About Gimel>
Brand founder and art director Kaoru Akihara moved to the United States in 1972 and studied jewelry identification, appraisal, and design at the GIA (Gemological Institute of America). In 1974, she started a diamond import company. Ten years later, she began creating her own jewelry, and her exhibition at Baselworld, one of the world's largest jewelry and watch trade shows, led to the global spread of Gimel's works, which fuse Western jewelry techniques with Japanese aesthetics. Sotheby's, a world-renowned auction house, has named Gimel one of the "innovative and influential jewelers of the 21st century" and praised her work as "jewelry that will last for 100 years."
Gimel jewelry is renowned for its pavé settings, beautiful color gradations, and playful, meticulously crafted designs that are beautiful not only on the surface but also on the back.
