From Thursday, October 22nd to Tuesday, November 3rd, Wako in Ginza will be hosting "Pioneering Beauty – The Present State of Nitten" at the Seiko House Hall.
In this landmark 10th exhibition, we present the world of beauty pursued by leading masters of the Japanese art world, through their rich sensibilities and sophisticated expressive abilities.
Approximately 40 dignified works that have touched people's hearts across generations will be gathered in one place, encompassing five categories: Japanese painting, Western painting, sculpture, crafts and arts, and calligraphy.
We received a message from Mr. Ryohei Miyata, Chairman of the Nitten (Japan Fine Arts Exhibition), regarding the upcoming event.
"We are truly grateful to be holding the 10th annual 'Pioneering Beauty – The Present State of the Nitten Exhibition.' Unlike the works displayed at the National Art Center, Tokyo, this exhibition is designed to be enjoyed in a more accessible way. Together with our advisors, board members, and last year's Minister's Award recipients, we have fully pursued beauty and created works of art that are the utmost in dedication and skill. We sincerely hope that many people will come and enjoy them."
