GINZA SIX, the largest commercial complex in the Ginza area, will be holding an interactive Christmas promotion from November 6th (Friday) to December 25th (Friday), 2026, themed around "LOVE," treating the entire complex as a single work of art.
This year's Christmas celebrations will be graced by the work of André Saraiva, a world-renowned artist based in Paris who has continued to express himself using the city itself as his canvas. His signature characters, "Mr. A" and "LOVE," will spread from the entrance to the underground passages, throughout the building, and even to the rooftop ice rink, inviting you into André's world throughout GINZA SIX. Discover the artwork as you wander through the building and share it with others. Enjoy this unique winter art experience where visitors become part of the artwork themselves.
On Friday, November 13th, a special live performance, "ROOFTOP LIVE GINZA SIX XMAS 2026," will be held at the rooftop garden "GINZA SIX Garden," marking a spectacular start to the season. From the following day, Saturday the 14th, the eco-friendly ice rink made of resin, which is popular every year, will reappear this year adorned with art by André Saraiva. In addition, a variety of other content is available to enjoy the holiday season, including gifts and gourmet food unique to GINZA SIX.

Artwork by André Saraiva will be on display at the entrance, marking the start of Christmas. Playful graphics instantly recognizable as André's, featuring his signature characters "Mr. A" and "Mrs. A," as well as the word "LOVE," will welcome visitors. The art will spread throughout the underground passages, the building, and the rooftop, transforming the entire GINZA SIX into a single work of art. Showing different faces during the day and night, visitors will discover new art as they walk through the building, creating a Christmas full of discoveries.

"Mr. A" comes to life on the wall of a subway connecting passage. First animated art.
In a first for GINZA SIX, animated works featuring "Mr. A" and "Mrs. A" will be projected onto the walls of the subway connecting passageway leading from Ginza Station to the building. Like street art appearing on a street corner, "Mr. A" will appear and move across the wall, inviting passersby into André's world. We offer an immersive art experience that allows you to feel the world of "LOVE" even before you step inside the building.

—How did you feel when you received the offer from GINZA SIX? Also, please tell us about this project.
I was very excited when GINZA SIX contacted me.
I was so happy to be able to work on a project in Tokyo, especially in such a prestigious commercial facility. This project was very open and gave me great freedom of expression. It's all about love. That's my specialty!
—Were there any elements in this work that were inspired by the city of Ginza?
Ginza is a classic Tokyo neighborhood, always bustling with vibrant people. The idea for this project is to bring everyone together in one place, using the ice rink and GINZA SIX as the stage. It's about bringing people together.
—The theme this time is "LOVE." What does LOVE mean to you when it comes to creating your work?
LOVE is the energy that drives me. That word is always somewhere in my paintings. Or, even without the word itself, I believe you can feel the love.

The popular "Rooftop Star Skating Rink" will be appearing for a limited time from November 14th, 2026 (Saturday) to February 14th, 2027 (Sunday) at "GINZA SIX Garden," the largest rooftop garden in the Ginza area. This sustainable rink uses resin instead of ice. This year, André Saraiva's artwork will extend to the rink, expanding the world of "LOVE" to the rooftop space. In addition, children's skating aids adorned with the artwork will be newly available, so everyone from adults to children can enjoy skating together. We will deliver a special skating experience this winter only, surrounded by art.

Yuma Abe
Born in Tokyo on September 4, 1990. Began his career in 2014 as the vocalist and guitarist of never young beach, writing all of their lyrics and music. Has performed at numerous Japanese music festivals, including FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL and SUMMER SONIC. Expanding his activities internationally, he has also performed at live tours and festivals throughout Asia, including Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Taipei, Seoul, and Bangkok. Began his solo career in 2021, releasing his first solo album, "Fantasia," on June 23 of the same year. Haruomi Hosono mixed three tracks, and Devendra Banhart played guitar on two tracks.
