A raw cake with delicate craftsmanship.
Commitment to baked sweets that has been nurtured over many years, and the Esprit of Paris delivered with a sense of the season.
Created by Gaston Renaulttor, who is known as the “ father of French confectionery”, “Renaultle” is known worldwide as the Paris's finest mason that assembles recipes with unique technology and know-how.
Nakajima Daishodo Co., Ltd., which manufactures and sells Japanese and Western confectionery, signed a license agreement with LENOTRE SA, and on March 27, 2019 (Wednesday), the first store of the legendary Maison "Noratore" is in Ginza Mitsukoshi B2nd floor Opened
At the commemorative tasting party held prior to the opening of the store, all 16 kinds of cakes including limited products in Japan, such as Tour Eiffel Volute, which imitates the Eiffel Tower, and finger cakes of pre-sales in Japan , are visible . This time, we will introduce the recommended candy among the Kokosil editorial department.
The legendary maison, Japan re-landing
The theme that goes through "Nanotle" is very simple.
That is "Plaisir" .
It means "joy" in French, but in fact the city name where there is still an atelier is also Prezire, and it is a word like a keyword in reading the story of Renault.
We want to deliver not only deliciousness but also a gentle moment to the Gourmand Parisians and Parisiennes. There is a spirit that has not changed since its inception.
Renault Toru is a maison originally founded from a boutique, but actually it was 1979 that the first boutique (Seibu Department Store Ikebukuro Main Store) was opened in Tokyo.
This time, 40 years later, we will play a full-fledged "re-landing".
For three years from 2017, including the world's largest chocolate festival "Salon du Chocolat Tokyo", Renault Tol appeared in Japan as a Valentine event. Although the sweets that reproduced the recipe in Paris itself were gaining popularity, it might be that many people were looking forward to the opening of the first shop in Japan as well.
Chocolate lovers are a must see!
All 16 types of cakes and chocolates provided at the tasting party. All were easy to eat and had been cut into petit size.
At Renault Toru, only the ingredients that are carefully selected by chefs with outstanding skills are used. It features a refined taste that makes use of the original flavor of the material.
From here, we will introduce the recommended sweets from the editorial department out of a total of 16 types of cakes we have tasted!
· Tour Eiffel Volute
“Toul Eiffel Volute” , sold as a limited edition product in Japan, is a unique cake inspired by the Eiffel Tower, a symbol of Paris.
The secret of the crisp and light texture is Fiantine, a finely-baked crepe dough. The combination of rich chocolate and caramel is outstanding, and it is a work that gives you the potential to be a "signboard product" in Japan.
There is no feel like sticking to the caramel's specific teeth, it is intertwined with moist sponge and cream, and it plays a pleasant texture with the inside of the fiantine.
・ Ecour Gullmann phrase
"Ecour Gullmann Phrase" sold as a seasonal product from March to May. Fresh strawberries are also vivid in appearance.
When you try it, you can feel the softness of the mouth and the firm presence of Eclair fabric at the same time. It seems to be finished with this kind of texture because it uses strong flour for baked goods and fresh goods. The richness of Eclair, cream and sweet and sour strawberries is likely to be addictive.
Renault Tol will be rolling out these seasonal seasonal limited products, and it is also starting to design a new product for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
・ Cube phrase
A cube-shaped chocolate engraved with "LENOTRE" on the surface.
One of the signboard products, “cube nautor,” has a variety of flavors such as “phrase” containing strawberry puree and “Elysee”, a classical almond praline.
We produce cuteness and sense of quality suitable for a little present.
When I eat the "cube phrase" of strawberry, I am impressed by the vivid sweet and sour taste! It was like the spring breeze blowing into my mouth. The combination of soggy chocolate texture and fresh strawberry puree is excellent.
Other than that, "Feuille d'Otonne" from which the recipe invented by founder Gaston Renaultl was inherited as it was, finger cake from Japan's pre-sold sales (all three types) attracted attention. Among them is a cake named "Plesil" that is a symbol of Renault.
"The country where Gaston Renaultl was first set up as one of the chefs, and the country where we wanted to return all the time. That is Japan, with a wealth of suggestions and a great tradition."
At the tasting party, I could also hear about the "love for Japan" of such Renault.
A new "orthodox" that created the concept of contemporary French sweets.
The further challenge of Renault Toru starts in this Japanese land.
Ginza Mitsukoshi B2F, why not try to experience the sweets of "Renaultre" once by all means?
