Street photographer collective VoidTokyo’s photo exhibition “Sharo SHARAKU VoidTokyo Exhibition” will be held at Hikohiko Gallery in Ginza from July 18th.

~Enjoy today’s Tokyo captured by skilled street photographers~

At Hiko Hiko Gallery in Ginza, which is operated by HN Kikaku Co., Ltd., Tokyo, one of the world's largest cities, has been cut out by members of the Tokyo-based street photographer group VoidTokyo with the concept of "exploring eyes". From July 18th to July 30th, 2023, we will hold a photo exhibition "Sharo SHARAKU Void Tokyo Exhibition" where you can feel the present.

■ Purpose of the event

VoidTokyo was established in 2017 with the aim of regularly publishing zines that remain on paper.
Although the original purpose is still the main one, it has been a big response both in Japan and overseas, and it has become common to hold exhibitions together.
This time, we have received an invitation from Hikohiko Gallery to hold a photo exhibition "Sharo" by the current members.
It is hoped that, by exhibiting together, each member will see Tokyo from their own perspectives, and that they will be able to get a glimpse of a part of the world city that is Tokyo from multiple perspectives.
In this exhibition, there are photos of Hiroki Fujitani, a member who passed away suddenly last year, and we aimed to create a photo exhibition that will be the culmination of the current VoidTokyo.
We hope that Tokyo will be here in your eyes.

<Takahiro Toh>
When I was a university student, I bought an annual passport for a famous theme park. I bought a single-lens reflex camera with that as an opportunity. It would be a waste of a camera to only shoot characters, so I started shooting city nightscapes. I got tired of the scenery from the observatory and started aerial night view from a helicopter.
It's boring too. When I was a new employee, I suddenly remembered the view of the city from the first train, and started taking street photos.
