The Tokyo Handicraft Project, an initiative of the Tokyo Metropolitan Small and Medium Enterprise Support Center, will be holding a pop-up event at Ginza Tsutaya Books from Wednesday, February 18th to Wednesday, March 4th, where you can directly purchase products developed by this project and traditional Tokyo crafts.

Tokyo's traditional crafts are refined through skilled techniques and delicate designs, and are constantly evolving into forms that add color to modern life. Why not try incorporating these carefully handcrafted products into your modern life? During the event, artisans will be holding demonstrations, so please take this opportunity to stop by.

■Sales of traditional crafts that add color to modern life Tokyo's traditional crafts, which have been refined by the skill and spirit of Edo artisans and loved by the common people and passed down through the generations, also have excellent functionality. This portable, simplified shamisen was developed to make the shamisen more accessible and enjoyable. It is about two-thirds the size of a regular shamisen, yet lightweight and crafted by artisans who have paid particular attention to the tone, it is a product that allows you to enjoy the sound of a full-fledged shamisen despite its compact size.
