Early in the 20th century, art movement came in turn in Paris, a city of art, a variety of artists full of young and talent gathered from all over the world into this big city and played an active part.

Cubism was born in 1908, the future declaration in 1909, Dada in 1916, surrealism in 1924 is born. In Montparnasse, Donen and Fujita, Sutin and Chagall gather together, and in Montmartre modigliani, duffy and Picasso hold an atelier and each creates a unique creative talent.

On the other hand, there were artists who did not show interest in these contemporary art trends, focused on the establishment of their own style, and built unique worlds.
Maurice Utrillo and Maurice de Vlaminck are the artists representing such painters. And Takanori Ogisu who was influenced strongly by these two people is one of them.

Utrillo painting Montmartre’s streets and walls as a poetic work with melancholy and calmness. Vrammank departs from contemporary life and civilization in large cities Paris and draws rigid nature and simple villages of people living there with a powerful touch and bold composition. And Ogisu continued to paint works that make it feel nostalgic somewhere with a clear and brilliant brushstrokes on the downtown and street corners of Paris.

In this exhibition, while drawing the old city skyline of Paris and the scenery of the suburbs, each one builds their own expression, and three pieces of works that left the name in the era will be exhibited in one place.
