Lion dance has been used throughout the country as a lucky charm to celebrate the world by paying demons since ancient times.
As an indispensable part of celebration, it is one of Edo Shitamachi's rich folk performing arts designated as a cultural property of Tokyo and a national cultural property. He has been invited overseas as well as domestically, and has performed in the United States, European Union countries, and the United Kingdom. Organized by five people: lion, Daikoku, Okamehyottoko gong, drum and flute.
