Born to "propose a life with art", since the store opened, it is an encounter with art that enriches life without being bound by the stereotypes such as "to enjoy art, you need financial margin and aesthetics". Has been created.
Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore is an alternative space that is different from museums and galleries, proposing exciting culture such as "Japanese culture", "photograph", "design", "architecture" and "fashion" while focusing on art.
Based on this unique identity, we are co-creating with artists, craftsmen, manufacturers, and customers to deliver proposals unique to Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore.

And this time, which is celebrating the 5th anniversary of the opening of the store, we have planned a commemorative event with the wish of "I want to be an existence that opens another new door by co-creation". The theme is "Alt."-Alternative Place to Meet Art & Culture.
Going forward, while valuing the encounters with each artist and customer, we will continue to create an "living with art" through innumerable combinations and co-creation of "[Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore] +" like the [Alt] key on a PC. I will make a suggestion.

The project will focus on art, while exhibiting and holding fairs in all genres.
The exhibition will use the entire Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore by Kohei Nawa, a sculptor who works on the installation of the central atrium of GINZA SIX, Naoki Honjo, who is holding a solo exhibition at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, and Rintaro Umino, an up-and-coming young artist. We will develop an exhibition of works.
In addition, to commemorate the 5th anniversary, we will release a limited edition by Takeru Amano, a popular original ink, and a limited version of the classic souvenir "Wasanbon Shokora" from the beginning of the store.

Kohei Nawa "Fountain" Exhibition



Kohei Nawa has created a new way of sculpture that stimulates the viewer's sense of sight and touch by crossing the organic image with the form of the material. This exhibition will be held in commemoration of the publication of a performance work by Nawa and choreographer Damien Jalet. In addition to flat works with this work as a motif, many works including unpublished works such as silk screen print work "Esquisse" and sculpture work "Fountain" are drawn from the earliest stage of artist activity, Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore GINZA It will be exhibited at ATRIUM.

Naoki Honjo, a photographer known for his unique expression of taking pictures of the city like a diorama using the tilt of a large format camera.
The latest Tokyo in 2021 is taken as an extension ("satellite" exhibition) of the artist's first large-scale solo exhibition "Naoki Honjo (un) real utopia", which is being held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography until May 15. In addition, unpublished works will be exhibited and sold for a limited time. Kenta Kobayashi continues to expand his expression in both digital and analog while straddling the boundaries between photography and painting. I am in charge of the artwork for the 5th anniversary of GINZA SIX, and I am developing the expression in various media.
