"GINZA ART WALK" is the 11th year event since its predecessor, Ginza Illumination "Hikarimichi", and "Hikarimichi" has been well received by many customers in Japan and overseas.
The number of people going out to the city has decreased due to the influence of the corona, and Ginza has been affected to some extent, but as the number of people infected with the corona has decreased, the vibrancy of the city is gradually returning. In "BANNER ART" , students from Taimei Elementary School in Chuo Ward will post illustrations drawn with flower motifs on the theme of "I want to reach someone" as flags on street lights. In addition, from the perspective of SDGs, since November 2022, we have been implementing initiatives to take advantage of the features of the durable material of the street light flags and upcycle them into products such as eco bags after posting them. In order for Ginza to continue this activity as a way of facing social issues, the BANNER ART will also be upcycled into eco bags or stationery after it is displayed.
In "STREET ART", "bus stops", "bench", "signs", "telephone booths", "clean boxes", "street lights", "temporary Enclosures will be wrapped in flower art, and the entire city will be colored with flowers. We hope that you will feel the new charm of Ginza by transforming the things that are usually casually installed in the city into something a little strange through flower art. Born in Oita prefecture in 1965. Since 1988, he has been training as a flower artist in the Netherlands, and in 1990 won second place in the design competition of the Flower Expo Osaka.
