Daichi Miura has not been limited to the title of fashion designer or illustrator, but has created costumes for artists, art direction for advertisements including TV commercials, space creation for residences and shops, brand production, and graphic design. In this way, he has projected his own sensibility into numerous works in a wide range of fields that transcends barriers, and has sent them out into the world. In recent years, through "travel", which is an indispensable element in talking about his lifestyle, he has come to face nature more deeply, environmental problems, and social activities such as contributing and revitalizing the region We are expanding the scope of our activities.
Triggered by the timing of a “new realization” that he experienced while accumulating these experiences, he plunged into the process of reconstructing the expression method of art creation that he had built up until now. As one of the ways of understanding that supports this idea of liberating the “stereotypes” and “invisible frames” that exist in modern society through the power of art, the concept he arrived at was “MODERATION”. It should be in harmony.”
In July 2022, he will hold a solo exhibition "MODERATION DAICHI MIURA ART EXHIBITION", which will be the first step in his new art creation activities, in Isetan Shinjuku, where he spent his childhood and where he got his inspiration for "manufacturing". In addition to art works using crystals and representative fashion icon illustration “Josie’s RUNWAY”, collaboration art works with high jewelry maison CHAUMET, Disney character motifs “DiDi” More than 160 works such as La Chignon (Diddy La Chignon) were exhibited and sold, and the first solo exhibition was successful in 6 days.
In this exhibition, we will express the "fixed concepts" and "invisible frames" that exist in modern society through art. Correct and incorrect answers, light and shadow, consciousness and matter… I expressed the harmony of the two poles that can be seen when looking at all concepts with the color "blue" of anxiety and healing. You can see Daichi Miura's new art world with the theme of "BLUE".
■MESSAGE
This time, I expressed the dual nature of things with "Ao".
Josie, a fashion icon, can be said to be in a blue mood with an anxious, dissatisfied, and sullen expression, but "Ao" has a chic and mature atmosphere.
The crystal works look like dark clouds, but you can also catch a glimpse of the healing light that shines on the surface of the water.
For this exhibition, the works with completely different tastes were displayed in two rooms in order to allow the two sides. It feels like sublimating, digesting, and purifying the inside of myself, whose concepts of good and bad have become ambiguous. All the "blue" on the surface of the earth flows and is ephemeral and beautiful.
