In 2023, we will begin to take steps to regenerate from the corona disaster, and to weave a path even in the midst of turmoil. Ninagawa is also taking on new challenges as an artist within the context of such regeneration. Not just one person, but to feel the world by overlapping hearts with other people and search for the light ahead. Not all of the emotions that appear in the resonance are positive. Faced with sorrow, anxiety, and such emotional movements, he has captured scenes that seem to connect to eternity in the moments that appear in the world. This exhibition is an experience of discovering, together with people, the beauty that exists in the fleeting moments that appear in our daily lives, and to start walking again.

○Canon Gallery S (Shinagawa)
Many of the fresh flowers that Ninagawa photographs are not flowers that bloom as they are in nature, but flowers that have been grown for someone else. Flowers originally attract the attention of insects because they carry seeds, but in coexistence with human society, they have also prospered as partners that bring diverse riches to people's lives. Ninagawa captures the flowers that bloom close to people, along with the emotions he feels at each moment. Viewers can experience the various emotions that Ninagawa felt while facing the work.

〇Canon Gallery Ginza Artificially bred animals have the aspect of being a means to satisfy people's desires. In particular, goldfish sold at goldfish markets and festivals for how much per bag are not recognized and valued as individuals like carp, and their lives are ephemeral after they are sold. Goldfish, which Ninagawa has used as motifs in his works, once had an aspect of being a victim trapped in a tank. However, after experiencing the Covid-19 pandemic, people must have realized that they are living in a kind of tank called a society that constrains each other. We, who live in the structure of modern society, may have some aspects that are similar to goldfish.

○Canon Gallery Osaka This work expresses the breath of life felt in the city. When something is expressed with the motif of a city, the object often leans toward either man-made objects such as buildings and vehicles, or the people who live there. This work focuses on the scenery and emotions in between. The lights of the city that emerge after the sun goes down, the neon signs and headlights of cars, the light that shines on the interiors and rooftops of buildings. Ninagawa feels the breath of life on the other side of that light. Memories and desires, delicacy and strength, the past and the future, and the breath of the viewer, which overlaps in the interplay of these images, will also constitute the viewing experience.
