·overview

This exhibition, with the theme of "time," brings together over 100 artworks, ranging from 19th century Impressionist and École de Paris European paintings, Japan's proud modern Western and Japanese paintings, and contemporary art. Covering a wide range of genres, from works by past masters who have shaped art history to works by contemporary artists who are paving the way for the future, the works, painted in a variety of expressive techniques such as oil paintings, watercolors, drawings, and prints, seem to reflect the spirit of each era.
This event will provide an opportunity for those who are usually familiar with contemporary art at Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore to casually enjoy masterpieces that have left their mark on art history. Enjoy your time appreciating art while looking back on the history of art that artists have woven from the past to the present to the future.
On Friday, January 31st, a talk event will be held with art producing and consulting business owner Sayuri Fujiwara as moderator, and featuring Chiaki Tanaka, chairman of the Art Dealers Association, and Kenichi Ogura, managing director, to discuss how to buy and enjoy art. Please come along.
