Ginza Kimuraya x Ginza’s famous shop collaboration koppepan is back! ~ Matsuya Ginza’s 100th anniversary ~ Koppepan that connects Ginza

Held from April 29th (National Holiday, Tuesday) to May 6th (Farewell, Tuesday) at the Food Fair Hall on the 1st basement floor

To commemorate its 100th anniversary, Matsuya Ginza will revive the "Ginza Koppepan Project," which was very popular in 2021 and 2022. For eight days from April 29th (Tues., public holiday) to May 6th (Tues., holiday), the store will be selling a limited edition of its original "Ginza Connecting Koppepan," a bun sandwiching delicacies from seven famous Ginza restaurants, including fried chicken from Mikasa Kaikan and smoked salmon from Oji Salmon, between a bun from Ginza Kimuraya. Please enjoy this unique taste born from the connections of the city of Ginza.

・Ginza Kimuraya sake yeast bread

The base of the bread is the sake yeast bread made by Ginza Kimuraya, a long-established store founded in 1869. It has a fluffy dough with a slight sweetness.

Founded in 1924 (Taisho 13) as a butcher shop, this is a meat restaurant run by meat connoisseurs. This is the second collaboration, and this time, grilled Japanese black beef is sandwiched between bread with a herb mix and finished with a generous amount of special egg yolk sauce. The sweet and spicy seasoned meat and the mellow egg make for an irresistible deliciousness.

This long-established Western restaurant, founded in 1895 (Meiji 28), offers their famous Neapolitan sandwich, which they have been serving since the Taisho period. To match the rolled bread, they have made it more seasoned than usual.

Mikasa Kaikan 100th Anniversary Fried Chicken with Truffles / 1,026 yen including tax

Mikasa Kaikan, a long-established restaurant in Ginza, is also celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Its signature dish, fried chicken, is said to have been the first to be served in a Japanese restaurant, and is sandwiched between rolls of bread. The fried chicken is marinated so that it blends well with the bread, and is topped with original tartar sauce and sliced truffles. The aroma of truffle fills every bite, making for a luxurious taste.

Ginza Aster Shrimp Chili Mayonnaise Coppe / 1,242 yen including tax First collaboration

Ginza Aster, a famous Chinese restaurant celebrating its 100th anniversary next year, offers its original "Chili Mayonnaise Shrimp" sandwich. Crisply deep-fried shrimp is covered in chili mayonnaise sauce and combined with creamy pumpkin paste. Surprisingly, this pumpkin paste acts as a binder between the bread and shrimp, creating a unified flavor. The finishing touch of mint leaves adds a refreshing accent.

⑤Oji Salmon Smoked Salmon Avocado Koppe / 1,188 yen (tax included) First collaboration

Oji Salmon, known for being the first in Japan to produce authentic smoked salmon, is also one of the famous stores that has been in Ginza for a long time. This time, we paired Norwegian smoked salmon, which goes well with bread, with the classic avocado. The whole grain mustard adds a spicy kick to the dish, making it an unmistakably delicious dish.

Ginza West Pistachio Butter Cream Koppe / 972 yen including tax

A Western-style confectionery shop in Ginza founded in 1947. The popular butter cream is combined with pistachios to create a perfect match for rolled bread. With just one bite, the pistachio ganache sauce melts in your mouth, creating a fragrant rolled bread.

⑦Ginza Kimuraya Bean Jam with Butter / 864 yen including tax

This bun is made with plenty of red bean paste made from 100% Hokkaido-grown azuki beans, the same filling used in Kimuraya's signature anpan, and whipped butter. This is a limited-time menu item that is not usually available at Kimuraya.
