Seiko House Hall will be holding the 49th exhibition by Inoue Manji, a holder of the Important Intangible Cultural Property (Living National Treasure) for white porcelain, from June 19th (Thurs) to 29th (Sun). The exhibition will be entitled "30th Anniversary of the Recognition as a Holder of the Important Intangible Cultural Property: Inoue Manji White Porcelain Exhibition – Following a Single White Path."
Mr. Inoue has been dedicated to white porcelain and has honed his work through his high level of spirituality and wheel-throwing skills. As modern crafts, the diversity and beauty of his vessels continue to evolve even at the age of 96.
This exhibition, which commemorates the 30th anniversary of his certification as a holder of the Important Intangible Cultural Property, will focus on the theme of "white," his origin, and will feature works that radiate dignified beauty born from the combination of Inoue's outstanding technique, sensibility, and heart, such as his representative round vases, crane-necked vases, and vortex-patterned vases. Please come and see them at the venue.
