JINS Co., Ltd. (hereinafter JINS) will open its first global flagship store, "JINS Ginza Store," in the iconic Kyobunkan Building on Ginza Chuo-dori Street on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Coming just before the 25th anniversary of its eyewear business, the store will serve as a base for sharing Japanese creativity and innovation with the world and taking the first step toward the next 25 years. Based on the Japanese concept of "enishi," which cherishes encounters that seem both fortuitous and inevitable, the store will offer a unique experience, with new discoveries every time you visit, right here in Ginza.
A space where Sou Fujimoto's "soft harmony" and Kohei Nawa's "Snow-Deer" resonate
The store was designed by world-renowned architect Sou Fujimoto. While preserving the history of the Kyobunkan Building, a renowned architectural masterpiece completed in 1933 by Antonin Raymond, the master of modern Japanese architecture, the design infuses it with a contemporary sensibility. The building is enveloped in a white exterior wall evoking the softness of Japanese sweets and washi paper, creating a new expression of "Japaneseness." The meticulous handcrafted finish, achieved by mixing white plaster with scrap mirror and polishing it, highlights the store's distinctive features. On the first floor, products are displayed in a dignified space reminiscent of a large tree. A symmetrical staircase leads from the first floor to the basement, creating an open atrium. The exposed basement floor tells the story of the building's multilayered history, creating a unique atmosphere where old and new eras intersect. The atrium features a permanent exhibition of the five-meter-tall work "Snow-Deer" by sculptor Kohei Nawa. This work, which attracted attention at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, has a tranquil appearance clad in a pearlescent white pearl color, and will bring new energy to Ginza. Unlike previous outdoor exhibitions, this one offers a unique art experience, with a staircase connecting the basement floor with the first floor, allowing visitors to view the work in 360 degrees from both above and below.

To commemorate the opening, a high-end eyewear collection showcasing the craftsmanship of Sabae City will be available exclusively at this store. Furthermore, the latest "JINS AI" has been fully launched as a part of the shopping experience. In addition to interactive product suggestions and suitability assessments using customer service AI, a new "lens diagnosis" function has been added. Using information such as face shape and lifestyle, the store will find the optimal solution for each customer from the vast selection of eyewear options, escorting them through a comfortable product selection process without hesitation. Going beyond conventional wisdom in eyewear selection, the store will deliver a "new, normal" approach from both the perspective of sensibility and technology throughout the store.
JINS' first art gallery in the basement. The first exhibit is "Rikka" (standing flower arrangement) by Ikenobo.
JINS has been working to promote community coexistence through its stores, utilizing art. With the desire to foster new connections with customers and the Ginza area, we have created a gallery space on the basement floor of our current store. We will continue to host various exhibitions on an irregular basis, stimulating the sensibilities of Ginza visitors through the experience of viewing and fostering new connections. The first of these will be a special installation titled "Rikka" (Standing Flowers) by Ikenobo, the origin of ikebana, from Saturday, March 28th to Friday, April 24th. This exhibition is the work of Ikenobo Senko, the next head of the Ikenobo School of Ikebana. This exhibition combines the traditional "Rikka" style of flower arrangement, which depicts natural landscapes in a single vase, a tradition passed down since the Muromachi period, with the diverse lifestyles of modern people, creating a highly free-form expression. Inspired by the spirit of discovering the brilliance of life in all its forms, the exhibition will be specially designed to be enjoyed from all angles, rather than simply from one side. His sensibility, which transcends the boundaries of tradition and resonates with other fields, will adorn the basement floor, presenting the changing expressions of life depending on the viewing angle and time.
Japanese knitwear brand "CFCL" designed the uniforms
The store staff uniforms were produced by CFCL. Born from dialogue with CFCL, which proposes knitwear from the perspective of "clothing as a tool for people living in the modern age," the uniforms exclusive to this store are made in Japan and have traceability guaranteed. The winter uniforms feature long jackets, while the summer uniforms feature half-sleeve shirts. With a grey base and the red "!" mark on the back, which is the symbol of the JINS logo, the uniforms combine the dignity and reliability befitting the store with functionality that takes into consideration the movements of the staff.
