POP UP EVENT: NIPPON NO TAKARAMONO
Barneys Japan Co., Ltd. will be holding a "Treasures of Japan" pop-up event, a platform that delivers technologies and products from all over Japan to the world, at the UNION SQUARE on the 1st floor of Barneys New York Ginza Main Store from Tuesday, June 16, 2026 to Monday, July 6, 2026.
"Treasures of Japan" focuses on the "treasures" hidden in Japan and the "treasure people" who create them, further highlighting their appeal through seminars and grand prix competitions. It refines the wisdom and culture of people who have preserved them in various regions into world-class masterpieces.
The "Nippon no Takaramono Grand Prix," judged by professionals from various fields, also holds a world competition in which only top businesses from across Japan, having won regional and national competitions, can participate. The winning products are used in global settings, including Michelin-starred restaurants, attracting considerable attention.
During this period, we will also be holding in-store events where the presenters will actually demonstrate the presentations they gave at the "Japan's Treasures Grand Prix."
This event, featuring the most diverse lineup ever, showcases the latest offerings from "Nippon no Takaramono," which has previously held pop-up events in various locations, including the Osaka-Kansai Expo and events in front of Todai-ji Temple. A wide range of renowned products from various genres, including food and fashion accessories, will be available, each one not only appealing but also imbued with the passion of the businesses behind them and the history and stories behind their creation.
We will be offering a special selection of rare and highly sought-after products, including "Tanoya Shiojiro's Salt," which has garnered attention from numerous media outlets due to its rarity. Please come and see the many "treasures" from all over Japan, each brimming with the unique charm of its region, in our store.
* "Tanoya Shiojiro's Salt" will be available for purchase as soon as it arrives in stock.
