Manga artist Uotoyo has created numerous popular works, including "Chi. -On the Movement of the Earth-," which has surpassed 5.7 million copies in cumulative circulation and will celebrate its 6th anniversary of serialization on September 14, 2026, and "Hyakuem," which garnered attention when it was adapted into a theatrical animated film. In addition to his unique ability to depict grand themes, his skillful composition and direction that draws readers in, and the deep thoughts and questions underlying his works, have captivated many readers.
We are pleased to announce that Uotoyo's first-ever artist exhibition, "Uotoyo 10th Anniversary Exhibition UO10," will be held at the YURAKUCHO MUSEUM to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Uotoyo's debut.
In this exhibition, which Uotoyo himself is organizing, the focus will be on three works: "Hyakuem.", "Chi. -On the Movement of the Earth-", and "Welcome to FACT (Tokyo S Ward Second Branch)". The exhibition will unravel the creative trajectory, from the initial concept to the original drawings, storyboards, the thoughts that shape the works, and the unique worldview that is presented.
Furthermore, Uotoyo's workspace will also appear at the venue. He may even be working on his new series there. The works created there will be displayed at the venue in stages. This is an unprecedented artist exhibition where you can witness in real time the process of countless thoughts becoming lines and transforming into stories.
Details about the exhibition, including ticket and merchandise sales information, will be released in October.
