・Exhibition information
This summer, ginza graphic gallery (ggg) will be transformed into a fantastic theme park by art director/creative director Koichi Kosugi.
Looking back on his childhood, Mr. Kosugi says that he liked drawing since he was in elementary school, but he was happy to make people happy rather than the act of drawing itself. The caricatures were made by my family, and the manga by my friends. The very name represents the body. Now that he has grown up, 'Koichi Boy' continues to send positive and happy messages to the world through his designs.
“Designers and art directors are not just people who create shapes, they are people who translate ideas,” says Kosugi. He calls it “translation” to verbalize and visualize the thoughts and feelings of clients and project teams that are difficult to share through the subject of himself. A few years after joining Hakuhodo, Mr. Kosugi carefully observed Kenjiro Sano's work and refined his unique output techniques. The result of his training combined with the 'Koichi boy' genius to make people's happiness happy, and he was able to become a unique 'translator' who can easily transcend various existing frameworks.
