CCC Art Lab will hold "ART SESSION by Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore NEW YEAR PARTY" from Saturday, January 20th to Monday, January 22nd, 2024. This event, which is the second after the first in August 2023, is titled "ART SESSION by Ginza Tsutaya Shoten NEW YEAR PARTY" and will feature approximately 100 notable artists who are expected to make further advances in 2024. The works will be gathered together. This time, in addition to the exhibition at GINZA ATRIUM, the central event space of Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore, we will be exhibiting a new project titled "ART SESSION SATELLITE" that focuses on small works that are easy to incorporate into everyday life. It will be held simultaneously at SQUARE. Artworks exhibited at satellite venues can be purchased on the spot on a first-come, first-served basis.
Saturday, January 20th will be by invitation only, but the two days of Sunday, January 21st and Monday, January 22nd will be open to the public, and anyone can freely enjoy the works. At the start of the new year 2024, we will deliver exciting encounters with art through “ART SESSION”.
・The main visual is a work drawn by Yujiro Ueno with a dragon motif.
The main visual for this time was created by Yujiro Ueno, an artist who continues to create paintings using living things based on the idea of “Ki'' in Oriental philosophy. Works depicting a dragon as a motif, in honor of the zodiac sign of 2024, will also be exhibited at the venue.

I am very happy to be able to present my dragon work at this event, which marks the beginning of the Year of the Dragon. The title of the work, “Banryu,'' refers to the dragon that is about to ascend to the sky. Please come and see us at the venue.

Born in Kyoto Prefecture in 1996. Graduated from Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts in 2019, majoring in painting. In 2021, completed the master's course in the Art Education Laboratory, Department of Art, Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. Major solo exhibitions include "Yujiro Ueno Solo Exhibition" (Tokyo American Club Frederick Harris Gallery/Tokyo 2021), "Yujiro Ueno Solo Exhibition Clash of Two Spirits – Tenchi no Tsugi" (Ginza Tsutaya Shoten GINZA ATRIUM/Tokyo 2023), ART MACAO 2023 Fatal Statistics “Synergistic Rhythms” (Macao Tower/Macau 2023), etc. His awards include being selected for the TURNER AWARD (2019, 2020) and winning the Waseda Award at the 69th Tokyo University of the Arts Graduation/Completion Works Exhibition (2021). In 2023, "Wandering – Two Dragons" will be stored at the Macau Museum of Art (Macau).
