In the mid-20th century, there were photographers who captured scenes from everyday life as they pleased, expressing themselves freely. Moved by the power of photography, they pressed the shutter with complete concentration, capturing in their work the joys and hopes of people, and sometimes their sorrows and anguish, and a wide range of other emotions, without distortion. They produced many street photographs that were simple and pure, without any flashiness or intrusiveness that would deeply move people, and that people could easily empathize with.
The 3rd Ota Kosan Collection Exhibition will be divided into two halves over a four-week period, with works rotated to allow visitors to see a wide variety of works by a variety of artists. The first half will feature a total of 62 works by renowned French photographers, including Robert Doisneau's "Kiss in front of the City Hall," Edouard Boubat's "Petite fille aux feuilles mortes," and Henri Cartier-Bresson's "Hyeres, France." The second half will fill the gallery space with 53 works by Fan Ho, a master of Asian street photography. The exhibition is officially recognized by the Fan Ho Foundation and the Hong Kong Blue Lotus Gallery.
We look forward to seeing you all there.
