More convenient from Friday, August 29, 2025
Tokyo Metro Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Tokyo Metro") will install an elevator (11-passenger capacity) and stairs to the ground level in the new building connected to Exit 6 from Friday, August 29, 2025, following the completion of the Hulic Ginza Building by Hulic Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Hulic").
Previously, passengers at Ginza 1-Chome Station had to use escalators and elevators to move from ground level to the platform, but the new barrier-free route will allow all passengers to use elevators. This will make the station more convenient for all passengers, including elderly and physically disabled passengers, as well as those using strollers, and will also allow passengers to use the barrier-free route to Ginza Station.
Tokyo Metro will continue to work on improving its barrier-free facilities so that all customers can use the subway conveniently and safely.
