·overview
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of her debut, calligrapher Shoko Kanazawa, who has been active both in Japan and overseas, will be holding a passionate exhibition that transcends the boundaries of calligraphy and depicts works beyond her own limits.
The world of Kanazawa Shoko, whose brush leads to places that words cannot reach while projecting a hint of "infinity" in her works. This exhibition will bring together over 80 works selected by Kanazawa herself from the many calligraphy works she has produced to date. In particular, the large folding screen work "Ryu Sho Hou Dance" and the group of works created using new techniques using gold paint vividly embody the new world of art that Kanazawa Shoko is pioneering. In addition, as a place where words and calligraphy intersect, calligraphy based on literary works in collaboration with Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore will be exhibited.
Now that she has announced that she will no longer be creating new works as a calligrapher, and is about to embark on a new stage, you can enjoy the charms of Shoko Kanazawa from various perspectives.
