Ginza Sony Park is collaborating with the still-running hit film "National Treasure" to commemorate the film's record as the highest-grossing Japanese live-action film in Japan for the first time in 22 years. To express gratitude to all 12.31 million viewers who have seen the film, Ginza Sony Park will host a free exhibition, "National Treasure: The Movie Exhibition – The Passion Never Ends, The Story Continues," from Wednesday, January 7th to Wednesday, January 28th, 2026, where visitors can relive the world of the film. The exhibition will include a photo exhibit capturing memorable scenes from the film that trace the story of "National Treasure," as well as a 3D sound experience of the theme song "Luminance," composed by Marihiko Hara, with lyrics by Miu Sakamoto, and sung by King Gnu's Osamu Iguchi.

Additionally, a special exhibition for the film "National Treasure," titled "5/513 Ryo Yoshizawa x Shunya Arai," will be held at the same time. Photographs taken on set of Ryo Yoshizawa, who played the main character Kikuo Tachibana, will be on display, and original merchandise will be on sale. This exhibition requires admission, and tickets with an original random postcard will go on sale today, Monday, December 22nd, at 11:00 AM.

Since its release in June 2025, "National Treasure" has broken the domestic box office record for a live-action Japanese film for the first time in 22 years, grossing over 17.87 billion yen and attracting an audience of 12.31 million. Original author Shuichi Yoshida also called it "a magnificent arts film that comes once in a century," and it was selected as Japan's entry for the 98th Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film.
To commemorate this, the "National Treasure Film Exhibition – The Craze Never Ends, the Story Continues" will be held, allowing visitors to experience the craze for "National Treasure" through an exhibition that immerses them in the world of the film and allows them to follow and experience the appeal of the work.

On the second basement floor of Ginza Sony Park, photographs capturing famous scenes from the play are on display. Visitors can reflect on the "national treasure-class" acting of the actors who color the worldview of "National Treasure," such as the memorable scene surrounding the succession of Tanbaya between the protagonist Tachibana Kikuo (Hanai Toichiro) played by Yoshizawa Ryo and Ogaki Shunsuke (Hanai Hanya) played by Yokohama Ryusei.
Additionally, on the third floor, in a space utilizing Sony's high-definition LED display, Crystal LED*, and 3D sound technology, you can enjoy the theme song to "National Treasure," "Luminance," composed by Hara Marihiko, who also composed the soundtrack for "National Treasure," with lyrics by Sakamoto Miu and vocals by King Gnu's Iguchi Osamu, along with the film footage. Enjoy the delicately layered worldview of the film in this special environment.

Additionally, a special exhibition titled "5/513 Ryo Yoshizawa x Shunya Arai" will be held on the 4th floor of Ginza Sony Park as part of the "National Treasure" film. Director Lee Sang-il commented, "The deciding factor in the film adaptation was Ryo Yoshizawa's presence. His alluring presence, combining beauty and emptiness. Now that he has steadily grown and evolved as an actor, this is a fateful encounter ripe for the task" (from the "National Treasure" official website). This exhibition features a selection of photographs taken by photographer Toshiya Arai, who closely followed Yoshizawa on set for five of the 513 days he spent preparing and filming the film. The photos on display include carefully selected works from the booklet sold through Yoshizawa's fan club, as well as unpublished photos. Original merchandise, such as clear files and ticket holders, will also be available for purchase. Admission to the special exhibition "5/513 Ryo Yoshizawa ✕ Shunya Arai" based on the film "National Treasure" will require a ticket, and tickets with an original random postcard will go on sale today, Monday, December 22nd, at 11:00 a.m. on the dedicated ticket site (etix).

As the craze for "National Treasure" continues, don't miss this opportunity to experience the charm of this work once again.

■ About Ginza Sony Park

Ginza Sony Park is a "park in the city" located on a corner of Sukiyabashi Crossing in Ginza, Tokyo. A park is essentially a place where people can freely interact and new experiences are born, precisely because it has spaces with no set usage. By designing this "space," Ginza Sony Park has become a public space that visitors can use freely, giving rise to new "activities." This also inherits the concept of a "facility open to the city" that has been cherished by the Sony Building.

The distinctive architecture, with four basement floors and five above ground, is intentionally kept to about half the height of a standard building in Ginza, bringing a sense of spaciousness and rhythm to the city. Three sides of the ground floor are open to the street, and it is directly connected to the subway and underground parking lot. Furthermore, the large atrium structure and vertical promenade that stretch from the first basement floor to the second above ground floor create a seamless connection with the city, giving it a more urban and three-dimensional feel.

Ginza Sony Park does not have any permanent tenants, but instead utilizes the space to develop a variety of activities. On the B3 floor, casual dining based on Western cuisine, "1/2 (Nibun no Ichi)," offers new experiences through food.

Ginza Sony Park was born by redefining the urban park, and its open spaces and activities continue to create new rhythms for the city and its people.
