Teruhiro Yanagihara “Layerscape” It will be held from 7/4 tomorrow!

A trip to explore the boundary between a plane and space, expressed by cloth installation. An exhibition full of experiments where space varies from moment to moment depending on the situation.

At Creation Gallery G8 (operated by Recruit Holdings Co., Ltd. / Tokyo · Ginza), we will hold 7/4 (Wed) – August 7 (Tue) Yanagiharu Yanagihara "Layerscape".

Yasuhiro Yanagihara established his own studio in 2002 after graduating from Osaka University of Arts in 1999. After that, based in Kyoto and Osaka, I have been working mainly on designing furniture and products and designing interiors.

Arita-yaki has served as a catalyst for the reevaluation of Saga Prefecture and the Arita-yaki project jointly with the Netherlands, served as the director of the Saga Prefecture Arita-yaki 400 business project "2016 /", participating in Milan Salone, etc. and making Arita-yaki tradition and innovative design Mr. Yanagihara has fused together and has been widely appealing to the world. We also offer designs to overseas brands such as Sweden, Ilia and France, and crossing genres such as furniture brand KARIMOKU NEW STANDARD, leather goods brand TYP / Morpho, and the establishment of domestic brands such as ceramics brand 1616 / arita japan I have done a lot of projects.

Mr. Yanagihara's idea of always designing the designing situation is always the base. It is not "how you want to design", but with the people involved, what is being sought, what is really needed, "who wants to use it, what to use" Especially facing thoroughly, thinking together, designing the situation and sending out. From there, you can see the establishment of a relationship of trust with co-operators who are not only client work.

The idea that people, objects and space are connected, what kind of situation is born, and why you want to design the whole situation in their entirety is approached by this installation with cloth in this exhibition. Light and wind fluctuation usually in the ordinary. Layers produced by cloth. What kind of change in facial expression can you see when a person enters there? It is an exhibition full of experiments where the visitor exists for the first time and the space changes moment by moment depending on the situation.

What I really wanted to do in this exhibition was a journey to explore the boundary between planes and spaces.

Complex ensemble that mixes given space, the layer of fabric that confined light, and unexpected movement by visitors.

I would like you to feel the ambiguous boundary line between the plane and the space that you are regularly conscious as the creative origin.

Born in Kagawa prefecture in 1976. designer. 2002 established his own studio. Based on the idea of designing the situation to design, we are working on projects beyond national and genre boundaries.
