A one-of-a-kind dining experience from Tiffany
Following the triumphant opening of Tiffany & Co.'s largest flagship store in Asia, Tiffany & Co. will open Japan's first Blue Box Café, "Blue Box Café by Natsuko Shoji," on August 8, 2025. Inspired by the brand's rich heritage, the Blue Box Café will be located on the fourth floor of Tiffany & Co. Ginza, where customers can enjoy a menu inspired by gourmet cuisine and craftsmanship and the world of Tiffany.
The café is overseen by Chef Natsuko Shoji, who has received acclaim both domestically and internationally, and her unique sensibility is infused into the coveted dining experience offered by Tiffany. From "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and "Tiffany Afternoon Tea" to "All-Day Dining" featuring a wide variety of dishes from appetizers to desserts, the café offers seasonal dishes incorporating Japanese ingredients. Chef Shoji's vision for the Blue Box Café resonates with Tiffany's values of elegance and originality, and Blue Box Café by Natsuko Shoji offers guests an extraordinary experience filled with delight and surprise through food.
"Blue Box Café by Natsuko Shoji will be a new hub for Tiffany's history, culture and creativity, located in Ginza, Tokyo, where one of Japan's leading gourmet cultures is flourishing. We will combine the culinary cultures of New York and Japan to offer surprising menus that bring out the best in the ingredients," said Chef Shoji.
The interior design of the space, which consists of a main dining room, bar, private dining room, and terrace overlooking the Ginza cityscape, was created by modern architectural master Peter Marino. The terrace is decorated with a flower installation by Azuma Makoto, and a variety of artworks by renowned artists such as Johan Cretten, Sarah Charlesworth, Roe Etheridge, and Molly Hatch are in dialogue with the cafe space.
A seasonal menu incorporating Japanese ingredients
Tiffany Afternoon Tea
This gorgeous and original afternoon tea combines Tiffany tradition with Chef Shoji's skill. The first tier features the chef's signature fruit tart. In August, a peach tart is served with strawberry sorbet. The second tier of desserts includes macarons reminiscent of Tiffany Blue, as well as the chef's special menu of vanilla cheesecake, financiers, and praline chocolate ganache. The third tier of savory dishes includes a cucumber sandwich inspired by the intricacy of jewelry, a mushroom sandwich, and a club sandwich, each of which beautifully blends with the other ingredients. Also included is a caprese salad, a salted cherry salmon and avocado tart, a flower-inspired mortadella and egg open sandwich, pickled ground cherry, and two types of scones.
Breakfast at Tiffany's
Breakfast is served at a tea stand, showcasing dishes crafted with the delicate sensibility and use of dashi stock that only a Japanese chef can master. The soup uses dashi stock that brings out the umami of Hidaka kelp and aromatic vegetables, while specially crafted low-sodium prosciutto and mortadella create a beautiful contrast with Japanese fruits. The sophisticated flavor of Yamanashi Prefecture's Fujinosuke ham is refreshingly enhanced with sudachi citrus and lemon. Croissants, the chef's signature brioche, and homemade maple granola are served with special vanilla-flavored yogurt. The scrambled eggs, inspired by dashi-maki tamago (rolled egg), are also a dish with a soft, fragrant dashi stock.
All-Day Dining
The à la carte menu offers a wide variety of dishes, from appetizers to meat and fish main dishes, side dishes, and desserts. The appetizer, "East Side Tartare," features carefully selected Japanese Wagyu beef paired with fruit tomato salsa. Main courses include classic New York-style burgers and seasonal fresh fish. Chef Shoji's signature gorgeous desserts include "Cheesecake 727," inspired by the address of The Landmark, the restaurant's flagship store on New York's Fifth Avenue. Drinks that complement the food and desserts offer a unique blend of New York cocktail culture and Japanese spirits and flavors.
Japan's first Blue Box Café, "Blue Box Café by Natsuko Shoji," will open on the 4th floor of Tiffany & Co. Ginza on August 8, 2025.
