Japanese flagship store “Etaly Ginza store” will open on August 25, 2021 (Wednesday) at GINZA SIX!

Eataly Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. will open "EATALY GINZA", the flagship store in Japan, on August 25, 2021 (Wednesday) in GINZA SIX. It is the 4th store in Tokyo and the 5th store in Japan, and is one of the largest Eataly stores in Japan.

The Eataly Ginza store, which caters to all food needs, is a place where you can explore various ways of spending depending on the time of day and occasion. The largest store in the country offers services in five configurations: three restaurants, a traditional Italian cafe, and a market that collects high-quality ingredients from all over Italy.

"LA PIAZZETTA", which means "small square" in Italian, is an area where you can casually gather wine and Italian cocktails in one hand. From Spaget Eataly to Pizza Margherita, you can experience the standard of Eataly "LA PASTA e LA PIZZA" is a space where a restaurant and pizzeria are fused.
And at "LA GRIGLIA" you can enjoy traditional Italian grilled dishes. "Gran Caffé Vergnano 1882" is a cafe where you can easily enjoy authentic espresso and cupcino even in Ginza. In addition to these dining areas, there is also an Italian market that collects about 1,500 high-quality ingredients from all over Italy.

Ginza was born in the Edo period, and became an information transmission base where Western culture and things gathered in the Meiji and Taisho eras. Even now, traditions backed by its history and cutting-edge cultures from home and abroad coexist, and it continues to evolve into a style that suits the times.
Currently, Ginza aims to develop from commercial use to a "living city" and "working city". We would like to respond to the diverse lifestyles of the land of Ginza through the Italian food culture. Because Eataly believes in "EAT BETTER, LIVE BETTER". We aim to be a store that has long been loved as a "place for everyone" where you can learn about high-quality Italian food and ingredients and their background, purchase them, and enjoy your meal at any time.

Eataly Ginza store theme
“Seasonality”

Eataly around the world focuses on historical events, influential people and ideas.
For example, Eataly Roma is a homage to "beauty," Eataly Zumerald in Milan, which was built on the site of a theater, is "music," Eataly Dubai is a "future," and Eataly London is a homage to "craft."

Seasonality is part of Eataly's DNA.
In all of Eataly's activities, we respect the rhythm and biodiversity of nature and focus on the fascination of our land as it changes with the seasons. And we try to introduce and share them to our customers and everyone. That is why Eataly has set "Seasonality" as the theme of "Eataly Ginza".

“Seasonality” is Italian for “stagionalità” and is a natural cycle that changes from year to year, meaning the changing seasons. This natural rhythm is one of the origins of biodiversity, a tradition rooted in the seasons, and an irreplaceable inheritance of culture that repeats over the years.
Sustainably consume seasonal and locally produced products to maintain and preserve biodiversity and traditions. The basis of this dietary and production habit is seasonality.
Eataly wants to bring respect and connection to the seasonality of Italy to Ginza and congratulate the land and seasonal products, traditions and diversity that welcome us.

Like Italy, in Japan, for centuries, respect for tradition, food culture and natural rhythms has been passed down from generation to generation. We are very pleased to be able to share the important things that the two cultures of Japan and Italy have in common with our customers in Ginza. Because we are connected by a passion for agriculture, history, and above all, quality ingredients.

The Eataly Ginza store will be a place where the splendor of Italy and Japan are fused.

LA PIAZZETTA
Located almost in the center of the store, this counter, which means "small square", is inspired by the cheerful Italian town square where friends and family gather every day to enjoy wine and antipasto. Small plates called Chiketti are lined up in the glass case, and you can enjoy Aperitivo with an Italian cocktail or wine. In addition to prosciutto and cheese, we also have small pasta and freshly baked pizza, so you can use it for lunch or light meals.

LA PASTA e LA PIZZA
“Pasta and pizza” is just the tip of the Italian (and Eataly) iceberg, but there is a reason why these two dishes are the most beloved exports of the Italian Peninsula. This is a restaurant and pizzeria where you can enjoy a wide range of authentic Italian cuisine, from appetizers to pasta, pizza, seconds and dolce, as well as seasonal menus inspired by all over Italy. Pizza dough and fresh pasta are also made and served in-store at the Ginza store.

LA GRIGLIA
An Italian grill restaurant with a full-fledged griller and a focus on quality and grilling. We offer dishes that make the best use of the original taste of the ingredients by grilling simple ingredients over an open flame, centering on meat, fish, and seasonal vegetables ordered from all over Japan. We also have appetizers, fresh pasta and wine lists offered exclusively at La Grillia. It is a privilege of La Grelia to enjoy the terrace overlooking Chuo-dori.

Gran Caffè Vergnano 1882
Near the entrance, there is a bar of "Cafe Vernano", a long-established brand in Piedmont. Start your day with a taste of high quality espresso and cappuccino to embody the Italian lifestyle.
We also offer traditional Dolce and baked goods from all over Italy, including gelato and Roman-born Maritozzo, as well as light meals that go well with wine and cocktails, from breakfast to lunch, aperitivo and late at night. You can drop in for a light meal.

MARKET (market)
The Eataly market, which carefully selects about 1,500 types of Italian ingredients, makes you feel Italy closer than anywhere else. Approximately 250 products that landed in Japan for the first time, such as pasta, olive oil, sauces, salami & cheese, and wine, will appear. And it is also a big attraction to have more than 360 kinds of wines from all 20 states of Italy.
In addition, at the Ginza store, as the "MADE in EATALY" series, we will expand sales of handmade take-out products cooked in the restaurant kitchen and pasta set "meal kit" that can easily reproduce the quality of the restaurant at home. We are preparing new proposals so that you can expand your dining options at home.
