·Overview

Helmut Newton is one of the leading fashion photographers of the 20th century.
The works taken by famous fashion magazines such as "VOGUE" and "Harper's BAZAAR" are provocative and erotic, but the powerful and stylish images are the new women who are "strongly independent women". It presented the ideal way of the statue and had a great impact on the times. And it continues to influence many people, including creators around the world.

This time, from the "Private Property Collection", which contains 45 of Helmut Newton's masterpieces, planned by producer Norman Solomon who had a deeper interaction with Newton than he was alive. From the modern prints released by International Images Gallery, which owns the sales rights, we will sell 8 types selected for the development of Tsutaya Bookstore.

Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore holds an exhibition "The Private Property Collection 2021 Hollywood, California" to commemorate the sale of official modern prints. At the store, we will exhibit 3 works centered on official modern prints.
During the two days from October 30th to 31st, eight works will be exhibited at once to celebrate Helmut Newton's 101st birthday on October 31st.

"BABY SUMO" was published in 2020 as a new edition of "Helmut Newton's SUMO", a large-scale photo book of Helmut Newton's shock that caused a sensation in the world and rewrote the history of "art books".
"Wearable Art T-shirt" is a fabric product created as "wearable art" by the art brand <THE INTERNATIONAL IMAGES COLLECTION>, which designs art works and negative films.
Making full use of Japanese technology, we transferred Helmut Newton's work while using different plates and inks, and completed all the designs by hand printing.
