Ginza Mitsukoshi Depachika Western Confectionery Corner to be Refreshed and Reopened in October 2024! New Products and New Stores Perfect for Ginza Souvenirs

The first store of the European confectionery brand Mariette, exclusive to Ginza Mitsukoshi, and the first permanent store of the custard sweets specialty store CUSTA in the Kanto region have opened, and new lineups of freshly baked sweets and other items have been added to the four popular brands.

This autumn, the Western confectionery corner on the second basement floor of Ginza Mitsukoshi will be undergoing a refreshed reopening. On Wednesday, October 30th, the popular Western confectionery manufacturer Loisdale will open the first store of its European confectionery brand Mariette, which will be available only at Ginza Mitsukoshi, and the custard sweets specialty store CUSTA, run by fellow famous Western confectionery shop Morozoff, will open its first permanent store in the Kanto region.
In addition to the two new stores, four popular Western confectionery brands will reopen after renovation. Freshly made in the in-store kitchens and limited items that can only be purchased at Ginza Mitsukoshi will be even more powerful, making them perfect for souvenirs and gifts. Please keep an eye out.

A new limited edition brand is born at Ginza Mitsukoshi! <Mariette>

This autumn, the brand Mariette will be unveiled for the first time. It is a Ginza Mitsukoshi exclusive brand that features cute and warm store designs and items. The storefront will feature a variety of European sweets, with a focus on Dutch sweets such as stroopwafels.

<Mariette> Cookie Assortment M 1,728 yen (5 types / total 13 pieces)

The cookie tins, a popular item, are filled with a variety of flavors, such as "Birch Didarma," also known as "Lady's Kiss," "Walnut Galette" with an addictive flavor of butter and walnuts, "Strawberry Lang" with a slightly sour taste made from langue de chat dough, and "Florentine" filled with plenty of fragrant almonds.
An assortment of popular European baked goods.

<Mariette> Stroopwafel (Caramel) 1,620 yen (5 pieces)

Stroopwafels, which originated in the Netherlands, are a traditional sweet that is closely tied to everyday life and enjoyed by people of all ages at cafes and food stalls. Of course you can eat it as is, but we also recommend warming it up by placing it on top of a cup of coffee or other hot drink. If you wait a while with it on, the caramel sandwiched between the waffle dough will melt and the steam will carry the soft aroma of cinnamon into the air. The sweet taste of caramel and cinnamon is perfect for the coming season.
