~Two days of promoting the charm of Kumamoto with the themes of "enjoy," "think," and "eat"~
Kumamoto Prefecture will be holding a special collaboration event, "Kumamotomon x Tokyo Ginza Jack," to promote the charms of "Kumamotomon," a city nurtured by its rich nature and culture, at Ginza Sony Park in Tokyo's Ginza district for two days, on Saturday, January 31st and Sunday, February 1st, 2026.
This event was made possible by our relationship with Sony, which has a semiconductor production base in Kumamoto, at Ginza Sony Park, adjacent to the Ginza Kumamoto Building. This marks the first time that a local government in Kumamoto has held an event at this facility, making it a challenging undertaking.
Background of the event
Located in Ginza, one of Japan's most influential places for communication, this event will create an opportunity for people to experience Kumamoto from multiple angles, from earthquake recovery to traditional culture and the appeal of food, with the three themes of "enjoy," "think," and "eat." Through this event, we will convey our gratitude for the support we have received for Kumamoto's recovery from the Kumamoto earthquake, and by widely promoting Kumamoto's rush grass and tatami culture and the appeal of its food, we hope to create an opportunity for people to travel in preparation for the "Kumamoto Destination Campaign" to be held from July this year, and to expand warm connections with people who feel close to Kumamoto and have been supporting it for a long time.

1. [Enjoy] "ONE PIECE Kumamoto Reconstruction Project 10 Years Exhibition" Pre-Exhibition
A special pre-event will be held ahead of the "ONE PIECE Kumamoto Reconstruction Project 10th Anniversary Exhibition," which will be held in Kumamoto from March 20th of this year.
- Seiwa Bunraku Puppet Theatre × ONE PIECE: "Super Reincarnation of the Deer Departing Winter Cherry Blossoms" Mini Performance
*Limited to 2 days (3 times each day)
- Interactive exhibit: A video of the Straw Hat Crew statues is shown on a large monitor. You can take commemorative photos with the statues.
- Message board: We are collecting messages of support from visitors (these will also be on display at the main exhibition starting in March)

2. [Thinking] Connecting Igusa Exhibition -Two days of talking about tradition and the future-
This talk event will allow participants to rediscover the true value of Kumamoto's igusa and tatami culture, which boasts a domestic market share of over 90%, through the voices of experts. Guests include Mr. Kuboki of Kuboki Tatami Shop, which operates Japan's first tatami experience complex, "Tatami Village," and a tatami product showroom in Ginza, as well as Mr. Hayakawa, Japan's leading igusa producer, who has received the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award five times. The appeal of igusa and tatami will also be showcased on large panels, with promotional activities being conducted by igusa farmers in the prefecture.

3. [Eat] 1/2 (Nibun no Ichi) x KIJIYA Special Collaboration Menu
The casual dining restaurant "1/2" on the third basement floor is collaborating with the popular Kumamoto restaurant "KIJIYA," where the chef himself grows his own vegetables and is particular about the ingredients he uses. For two days only, you can enjoy an original Western-style plate using the rich ingredients of Kumamoto, along with natural wine.
