This is the fourth solo exhibition at Wako by glass artist Fujiko Enami.
From October 8th (Thursday) to 18th (Sunday), Wako in Ginza will host a solo exhibition at the Seiko House Hall featuring Fujiko Enami, a glass artist who is a master of "mulline," one of the distinctive techniques of Venetian glass, and who continues to engage in diverse creative activities.
Following previous exhibitions that have explored the themes of "flowers," "birds," and "moon" since 2016, Enami's fourth solo exhibition at Wako focuses on "wind." The wind that sways plants, crosses the water's surface, and carries the seasons—this intangible presence is brought to life through the delicate spread of murrine, manipulating color and light to create a poetic world of art.
In addition to popular works from his previous three solo exhibitions, such as the flower garden and vine series, he will also be exhibiting ambitious new works including lidded containers and bowls.
From vases and lampshades to bird and acorn sculptures, Murrine's charming world unfolds before your eyes.

11:00 AM – 3:00 PM: Reservations required. During the above time slot, only customers with reservations will be admitted.

Fujiko Enami: Brief Biography
Born in Saitama Prefecture in 1968.
In 1985, she studied under ceramic artist Ayako Tsutsumi.
Graduated from Tama Art University, Department of Design, Glass Course in 1992.
Graduated from Toyama Glass Art Institute in 1994.
1995-1997: Worked at Chadham Glass Company, studying under Jim Holmes (Massachusetts, USA)
In 1998, he co-founded the glass art studio "Shio Kobo" with Shio Konishi (Miura City, Kanagawa Prefecture).
2007: Exhibited at "Allure of Japanese Glass" (Pennsylvania, USA)
Special lecture held at Anadolu University in Turkey (Eskişehir, Turkey) in 2008.
2011: Exhibited at the "Exhibition of Venetian Glass I've Always Dreamed Of" (Suntory Museum of Art, Tokyo)
2014 "Bern Art Tea Party" Enami & Konishi Exhibition (Embassy of Japan in Switzerland, Bern)
2015: Exhibited at "Kikuchi Kanmi Prize: The Present State of Crafts" (Kikuchi Kanmi Memorial Chishin Museum, Tokyo)
