Hiroshi Mori remixes the images of subcultures and masterpieces in art history, and uses the latest technology to create works with unique textures. This exhibition, which will be a memorable solo exhibition, has been produced by Mori, such as the Lichtenstein x J-pop series, which remixes Roy Lichtenstein and Japanese subculture, and the Japanesque series, which remixes Japanese old paintings and anime. We are pleased to announce a new series including the new series, the Portraits series, and the Damien Hirst Parody series.
Kotori Kawashima, a photographer who is impressed by photographs that capture the moment when human innocence and honest feelings shine.
We have published a 400-page photo book that includes many unpublished works from the early career, spun from a group of photographs taken over 20 years mainly in Tokyo where I lived from the age of eight. A photo exhibition will be held to commemorate the publication.
The small pieces, shot to scoop up the emotions of the moment in everyday life, gently suggest that the world is overwhelmed with the beauty and tenderness that is often overlooked. This work, which was edited mainly on landscape photographs, is different from the work that has often been the leading role of people up until now, and makes a new face of the artist.
Hiroshi Mori
Born in Tokyo in 1977. Completed the master's course in oil painting techniques and materials at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts in 2013.
Using parody as a technique, I am producing works that remix religious images, masterpieces of art history such as Japanese classical art and pop art, and images quoted from animation and games. The kitschy image drawn in an anime style is created by making full use of the original technique using the latest technology to create a work with a unique texture with high precision and precision.
