“The Royal Park Hotel Ginza 6-chome” to open on May 30, 2024 “GINZA POP” concept adds color to travel memories

Royal Park Hotels opens third hotel in Ginza

Mitsubishi Jisho Hotels & Resorts Co., Ltd. will open The Royal Park Hotel Ginza 6-chome on Thursday, May 30, 2024. This will be its sixth hotel in the Tokyo metropolitan area and its third hotel in the Ginza area.

The hotel is located in Ginza 6-Chome (around the former Kobikicho area), facing the beautiful ginkgo tree-lined Showa-dori Street. It is also close to the Kabukiza Theater, Tsukiji Outer Market, and an area lined with major department stores and brand shops. The nearest station, Higashi-Ginza Station, is easily accessible by train or bus from Haneda Airport and Narita Airport.
The hotel features vivid colors and rounded designs, inspired by the curtains at the Kabukiza Theater and the colors of the ginkgo trees lining Showa-dori Avenue, providing a vibrant and exciting accommodation experience.

The Royal Park Hotel Ginza 6-chome exterior

■Hotel concept: "GINZA POP"
The name incorporates the meanings of both "POP in history and culture (=the birth of)" and "POP in design and patterns." The hotel's exterior and interior colors and design express the history of Ginza, a district that has always been at the center of the times by preserving tradition and culture while accepting and fusing with changing times and Western culture to create new culture, and where retro and modern coexist.

■Hotel exterior
The exterior is accented with a golden color that matches the ginkgo leaves, which change color with the changing seasons. At the base of the building are plants that bloom with the changing seasons, adding color to the town together with the ginkgo trees.

■1F Hotel Entrance and 2F Front Desk and Lobby
The design incorporates the same golden color of ginkgo as the exterior, with diagonal lines expressing the ginkgo trees on Showa-dori swaying in the autumn breeze and leaves falling down. The green of the willow trees that were once planted in Ginza is used as an accent color to represent part of Ginza's history. A SNACK & DRINK STATION has been set up in one corner of the lobby, where light meals and drinks can be purchased 24 hours a day at the self-checkout.

■Guest Rooms on 3rd to 15th Floors
The guest rooms are decorated in the colours of the Kabukiza theatre's standard curtains (persimmon colour = red, light green = green), symbolising a connection with the local community. The bold silhouettes and rounded designs that were popular from the Taisho to early Showa periods are used for the guest room furniture and floor patterns, creating an interior that combines retro and modern. The persimmon coloured rooms are mainly twin rooms, while the light green coloured rooms are double rooms, and although compact, they are modern and highly functional in design.

The interior reflects the modern yet retro impression of Ginza, incorporating the golden color of ginkgo and the green of Ginza's willows on the walls. When using the bath, you can move around the hotel in your pajamas and slippers from your room.
In addition, each room is equipped with a bathroom.
