On the first day, Friday, October 11th, we will be hosting a "Night Screen Premium Talk Show" with actor MEGUMI as a guest! For the first time, we will be having a "Red Carpet" in the viewing area, where you can feel like a Hollywood star!
Tokyo Midtown Hibiya will hold the "HIBIYA CINEMA FESTIVAL 2024" for 17 days from Friday, October 11th to Sunday, October 27th.
This year marks the 7th time that this event has been held as an annual event to enliven the "film and entertainment town of Hibiya," proposing "ways to enjoy films" from various perspectives. This time, the full lineup has been decided for the "Day Screen," which will screen world-famous masterpieces and popular works for free, and the "Night Screen," where directors and guests will take to the stage for talk sessions! New programs have also been decided, including a Kinema Junpo exhibition project and talk sessions focusing on young film directors. The event will enliven the film town of Hibiya with a wealth of content.
"Dayscreen" will screen a total of 18 films between Saturday, October 12th and Sunday, October 27th*. The lineup will be diverse, centered on masterpieces and blockbusters that are loved and talked about around the world, such as "Les Miserables," which is scheduled to be performed at the Imperial Theater this winter, and the monumental adventure films "The Goonies," "Stand by Me," and "Top Gun." In addition, on Wednesday, October 23rd, two Taiwanese films and dramas will be screened as part of a collaborative project with "TAIWAN MOVIE WEEK." *There will be no screenings from Tuesday, October 15th to Friday, October 18th.
Before the screening, directors and guests will appear on stage to hold talk sessions about behind-the-scenes stories. On the first day, MEGUMI, star of "Inazuma to Ai", will be the guest to host a "Night Screen Premium Talk Show". In the second half of the festival, from October 19th (Sat) to October 26th (Sat), eight popular Japanese films from recent years will be screened with English subtitles.
In addition, the "Red Carpet Area" will be making its first appearance at Hibiya Step Square, where the "Day Screen" and "Night Screen" will be held! Not only will it be there when guests take to the stage, but it will also be open to the public outside of screening times. It will be a photogenic spot where you can experience the feeling of being a Hollywood star.
In addition, we will hold the "HIBIYA KINEJUN MUSEUM", a collaborative exhibition project with Kinema Junpo, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary, and a talk session and film screening by four young filmmakers who will lead the next generation. Please enjoy the movie experience in Hibiya, which will be filled with movies.

From October 12th (Saturday) to October 14th (Monday, national holiday), there will be a joint screening of the "Women's Journalists Film Award" (director's appearance from 18:30 / screening from 19:00)
We will be welcoming film personality/film critic Satori Ito, who established the "Women's Journalists Film Awards," along with directors Naoko Ogigami and Keima Kawawada, and film writer/columnist Shiho Atsumi, to screen the award-winning works!
On the 11th (Friday), a "Night Screen Premium Talk Show" will be held before the screening of "Lightning in Love" <br /> On the first day of the event, we will be welcoming actor MEGUMI as a special guest to hold a "Night Screen Premium Talk Show." She will talk at length about her feelings for the works she has appeared in and her acting style. After the show, we will screen "Lightning in Love," which won the Women's Journalists Film Award and stars MEGUMI. Enjoy it along with MEGUMI's talk!

Born in Okayama Prefecture, Kurashiki City. Debuted in 2001. Making the most of her natural character, she has been active on TV and in magazines. In 2018, she made her first film appearance in "The Blood of Wolves," and has expanded her horizons to include film and TV drama appearances.
Winner of the Best Supporting Actress award at the 62nd Blue Ribbon Awards (2020).

She is a film personality, a talker and writer about films. She hosts the YouTube actor talk show "The New Satori Ito and Her Film Friends." She provides film commentary on Fuji TV's "Mezamashi 8" and TBS TV's "Hiruobi," and film critiques on "Pia" and other publications. She has also released a book of film lines, "100 Selected Love Confessions." She is a judge for the Nikkan Sports Film Awards and the Japan Film Critics Awards. She is also the initiator of the Women's Journalists Film Awards.
