HERALBONY ISAI Weaving Light
"HERALBONY ISAI" is a line of expression developed by "HERALBONY" that is inspired by the expressions of outstanding artists and proposes new values in art. This second installment focuses on "handmade" and aims to further deepen the concept.
This exhibition reinterprets the handiwork of artists, and features ISAI shirts made with hand-woven fabrics by artist Hisashi Igarashi, as well as one-of-a-kind art pieces by five other artists. Photographer Yuriko Takagi will also be on display. HERALBONY will convey the beauty and possibilities of "handmade" work from its own unique perspective.
A window into the atelier – A space where you can feel the artist's creative process and presence
We are exhibiting photographs taken by photographer Yuriko Takagi, who visited Igarashi's studio and captured the process of art creation. The photographs carefully capture the "time" and "atmosphere" behind the works.
The exhibition space is like a window into the production process through the photographs, aiming to create a space where the time and presence of the artist at work can be seen through the window. By adding HERALBONY's unique interpretation and creativity to "handmade work," we are proposing a new form of expression.
This exhibition will also feature the works of Igarashi Hisashi, an artist who inhabits a unique world within his weaving. The sound of Igarashi working at his loom will be played in the exhibition space, allowing visitors to experience with all five senses the rhythm that is born from this quiet activity.
