GINZA SIX, the largest commercial facility in the Ginza area, will be holding an interactive Christmas promotion that combines art and music under the theme of "Reflection Eternal" from Friday, November 7th to Thursday, December 25th, 2025.
The museum will be filled with a fantastical space where installations by the creative group YAR, which has garnered attention both domestically and internationally, and the sounds of music producer Nujabes resonate together. The intersection of city light and memories, music and emotions will invite you into a one-of-a-kind Christmas.
On Friday, November 14th, ROOFTOP LIVE will be held at the GINZA SIX rooftop garden. This special musical experience, featuring tribute artists inspired by Nujabes' music, will kick off the holiday season in style. From the following day, Saturday, the 15th, an ice skating rink will appear in the garden. In a fantastical space where light and sound intersect, a special playlist selected by YAR, including music by Nujabes, will further enrich your winter moments.

■Inventive installation directed by YAR and graphics inspired by Nujabes
The entrance for the 2025 Christmas season will be decorated with the winter light that permeates the streets of Ginza. The object rotates slowly as if playing music, welcoming visitors with rainbow-colored light. Continuing reflections, flowing light, and floating tones. Inspired by a classic song that continues to spread even today, design studio YAR was in charge of direction and design.

A comment from YAR: <br /> We felt the pressure of taking inspiration from Nujabes' classic songs, which continue to light up the world today, but instead of a straightforward interpretation, we created the key visual and object design, incorporating our feelings for GINZA SIX and the city of Ginza. The rotating object takes on the light of Ginza, endlessly creating new reflections. We hope you enjoy the ever-changing colors, lights, and sounds of the city.

Nujabes Profile
A music producer and DJ born in Minato Ward, Tokyo in 1974, he was known worldwide as a pioneer of Lo-Fi Hip Hop, with a mellow sound that combined jazz and hip hop. In 1999, he founded his own label, Hydeout Productions, and gained support through his music alone, without relying on advertising. His representative works include "Metaphorical Music" and "Modal Soul," and he also composed the music for the anime series "Samurai Champloo." Although he passed away in a traffic accident in 2010, his musical spirit continues to be carried on by many artists today.
<MUSIC>
Ambient music that brightens up the building
The in-store background music was produced by Kenichiro Nishihara, a music producer who has worked on spatial productions for fashion shows and luxury brands. The sound, which is a fusion of a variety of genres such as jazz, classical, electronica, and ambient, including original music inspired by the worldview of this promotion, brings a sophisticated rhythm and depth to the space.
Comment from Nishihara Kenichiro <br /> That was around 2005? I quietly released an album before my debut. Nujabes listened to the CD, which wasn't even available in stores, and looked up my contact information, called me directly, and stocked the CD for his store. I was once again filled with awe at how much music he must have listened to, and I still carry in my heart the starting point that led to that connection, along with my gratitude to Nujabes. And one more thing I'd like to mention here: I think I was the first person to play Nujabes, at Paris Fashion Week in 2003.
Kenichiro Nishihara Profile <br /> Sound Director/Composer. Representative of the music label and production company "Jazcrafts" (Unprivate Inc.). Since 1996, he has been involved in creating spatial music for Tokyo's Paris Fashion Week, as well as for GINZA SIX and the Daimaru Shinsaibashi store. In recent years, he has also been working on music production utilizing AI technology, fusing traditional music production methods with cutting-edge technology. His unique creative approach continues to explore the possibilities of innovative music. Since 2008, he has released multiple albums of his own, each reaching number one on the charts. He also performs at events and festivals as a DJ and with a band, and has been touring Asia continuously since 2015.
