[Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo] Opens its first sweets shop at Ginza Mitsukoshi; new and limited-edition cakes to be available; one-week limited-time pop-up store.

Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo will be hosting its first-ever limited-time pop-up store for sweets at Ginza Mitsukoshi. During the event, in addition to the hotel's popular sweets and bakery items, a wide variety of products exclusive to this pop-up will be available. Enjoy the exquisite flavors created by the hotel's chefs right here in Ginza.

◇First time held at Ginza Mitsukoshi. A wide selection of the hotel's popular products will be available, including limited-edition sweets and revived items.

This project was launched to bring the sweets, which have previously been mainly offered within the hotel, to a wider audience. Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo's brand concept, "Japan that welcomes the world," has a strong affinity with Ginza Mitsukoshi, which attracts customers from all over the world, and the fusion of the values of both companies was the background to the realization of this store opening.
Furthermore, as the garden display "Tokyo Sea of Clouds" evolves into "Tokyo Sea of Clouds ~Yakumo~" this summer, and efforts are underway to promote its appeal both domestically and internationally, we are holding this Ginza Mitsukoshi pop-up store as a place where guests can experience the hotel's worldview outside the hotel itself.

Among them, the three items that stand out are the "Premium Shortcake," "Cube Choux Fruits Rouges," and "Supreme Tiramisu." The "Premium Shortcake" is a cake made with sponge cake using wasanbon sugar and layered with three types of fresh cream. The "Cube Choux Fruits Rouges" is a cube-shaped choux pastry filled with vanilla cream and red berries. The "Supreme Tiramisu" is an authentic tiramisu created by Chef Yasuo Kawakami, the pastry chef at "Il Teatro," who was selected as a finalist in the "Gran Concorso di Tiramisu' 2022," the Japanese representative selection competition for "The World Trophy of Professional Tiramisu' FIPGC 2023," a world tiramisu competition held in Italy. The texture of the chocolate crumble and the rich aroma of "Amaretto di Saronno" combine to create a rich yet light flavor.
Also making a comeback at this pop-up shop is the long-loved "Walnut Bread." Characterized by the fragrant aroma of chunky walnuts and the perfect amount of saltiness, it was a popular item that received many requests for its return after it was discontinued. Furthermore, the signature product "Tokyo Sea of Clouds Pudding," inspired by the garden display "Tokyo Sea of Clouds," will also be available.

◇A scone exclusive to Ginza Mitsukoshi, presented by our hotel, which has supported the culture of afternoon tea.

In the 1990s, the lounge "Le Jardin" at Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo is said to have been the first hotel in Tokyo to offer a full-fledged afternoon tea. For this pop-up, we have developed a new flavor of the scones that have been a long-time favorite at that afternoon tea, exclusively for Ginza Mitsukoshi.
The lineup includes three varieties: "Caramel Orange," which harmonizes the savory aroma of caramel with the slight bitterness of orange peel; "Tea Berry," a vibrant combination of berry-flavored black tea and white chocolate; and "Rye," made with domestically produced wheat and rye. We pursued the ideal texture—crispy and fragrant on the outside, and moist and fluffy on the inside—and perfected it after numerous prototypes.
We offer a special treat that you can only enjoy here, combining traditional British scones with the hotel's unique attention to detail.

What is Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo?
