“[Sequel] The Mysterious Goldfish Museum ~What Lurks in the Darkness~” The second installment of the highly popular evening event! The Goldfish Museum comes to life once again at dusk.

Art Aquarium Museum GINZA (located at Ginza Mitsukoshi) will be holding the second installment of its summer special event, "[Continued] Mysterious Goldfish Museum – What Lurks in the Darkness," from Saturday, August 29th to Friday, September 18th, 2026, for a limited time each day from 4 PM to 7 PM.

The mysterious atmosphere created by sound, lighting, and projector projections, which was so popular in the first installment, is back! In addition, we will be introducing a new "AR Yokai Stamp Rally" where you can use your smartphone to find the yokai (supernatural beings) lurking throughout the building. Enjoy an extraordinary experience that can only be found here, woven together by beautiful yet somewhat eerie goldfish and yokai.

*This is not a haunted house. You can enjoy the regular show from 10am to 4pm.

■ Highlights of "[Sequel] The Mysterious Goldfish Museum ~What Lurks in the Darkness~"

① An eerie and beautiful limited-time production of "sound, light, and visuals" that envelops the space.
As 4 PM approaches, the atmosphere inside the building completely changes. The lighting changes eerily, and unsettling music can be heard from somewhere.
And here and there, we see the figures of yokai (supernatural beings)…
We will transform the art aquarium into a mysterious world.

② New feature! Collect yokai by holding up your smartphone! "AR Yokai Stamp Rally"
We're holding our first ever participatory stamp rally, where you use your smartphone to find the yokai (supernatural creatures) from ukiyo-e prints hidden throughout the museum!
Find the yokai inside the building and collect 4 stamps,
You will receive one original sticker (3 types in total, randomly selected) exclusive to this event.
*While we have prepared plenty of stickers, they may run out and be discontinued.

Please enjoy taking photos with yokai using AR!

This is a special performance and event that you can only experience now. Please enjoy the Art Aquarium Museum, which is a little different from before.

■What is Art Aquarium?

Art Aquarium is an immersive entertainment art experience that uses light, scent, and sound to enhance aquariums where goldfish swim. It is a unique world where Japanese tradition and cutting-edge art merge, expressing the culture of appreciating goldfish, which has continued since the Edo period, as a work of art for the modern age.
The sculptural beauty of the aquarium artwork, the spatial design, and the fantastical space created by the various beauties of the goldfish unfold before your eyes.
Since its inception in Tokyo in 2007, it has been held as a limited-time event in various locations across Japan, and has become a popular and well-established event held in Tokyo during the summer months.
In August 2020, it opened its first permanent museum in Nihonbashi, Tokyo (Chuo Ward, Tokyo), and then relocated to Ginza, Tokyo (8th floor of the Ginza Mitsukoshi New Building, Chuo Ward, Tokyo) in May 2022, where it is currently operating. Since 2007, it has become an entertainment-type museum IP boasting a cumulative visitor count of 13 million people (as of October 2025).
