“Maguro to Sakana Kaisenmeshi Nakamata,” a specialty seafood restaurant featuring fresh fish directly sourced from Toyosu Market and tuna from “Yamakou,” will open in Higashi-Ginza on September 1st (Tuesday).

Zagat Inc., which operates 12 restaurants mainly in the Ginza and Tsukiji areas, including "Nodoguro Specialty Ginza Nakamata," which has been selected as one of Tabelog's Top 100 Restaurants, opened a new restaurant concept, "Maguro to Sakana Kaisenmeshi Nakamata," in Higashi-Ginza, Tokyo on September 1st, 2026 (Tuesday).

Since its founding in 2007, Zagat Inc. has been developing specialty restaurants mainly in Ginza and Tsukiji that handle rare and high-end fish such as "nodoguro" (blackthroat seaperch) and "natural tiger pufferfish." The newly opening "Maguro to Sakana Kaisenmeshi Nakamata" is a seafood restaurant that aims to allow customers to enjoy the fresh, high-end fish that has been served in private rooms in Ginza in a more accessible way. Featuring tuna sourced from the tuna wholesaler "Yamako," the most affordable "seafood rice" will be available from 1,980 yen (tax included).

Ginza's expert selections from ¥1,980. Direct sourcing from Toyosu Market and collaboration with "Yamakou".

Our group's strength lies in our "procurement," which has been built through the president's unwavering dedication to the market since our founding, with him personally visiting every single day to cultivate deep relationships of trust with fish suppliers. In addition to direct procurement from Toyosu Market without intermediaries, this restaurant also collaborates with Yamakou, Japan's top tuna wholesaler. We have adopted the same procurement routes that support our flagship store in Ginza for this new business format, embodying our belief that "procurement doesn't change; that's where the value lies," and the discerning eye that supports our Ginza flagship store, in every bowl.

To encourage people to visit us, we've set our seafood rice bowl at a reasonable price of 1,980 yen (tax included). The "All Toppings" version, which is generously topped with lean tuna, medium fatty tuna, fatty tuna, sea urchin, and more, is 6,480 yen (tax included). You can add toppings one by one, allowing you to create a bowl that suits your mood that day.

The taste changes three times in one cup.

At Nakamata, the seafood rice bowls offer a changing flavor profile as you eat. All menu items come with miso soup made from fish bones, pickles, egg yolk, and sesame soy sauce. We suggest enjoying three different flavors in one bowl.

1. First, try it with wasabi and soy sauce.
2. Enjoy the natural flavor of the tuna and fresh fish. Next, add sesame soy sauce, along with the aroma of freshly ground sesame seeds.
3. Finally, whisk in the egg yolk. Mix well for a rich and flavorful drink.
