A performance will be held at the Kanze Noh Theater on March 27, entitled "The World of Two Foxes", a traditional performing arts festival.
The performers were Kanze Noh performers Kanze Saburota, Sakaguchi Takanobu, Kabuki actors Nakamura Kazutaro, and Nakamura Kotaro.
We will challenge each performance under the theme of "fox", which can be said to be familiar in the world of classical entertainment.

This time, I will be working as a maibayashi "small blacksmith Shigeki Kuroto" with a dynamic demon fox.
"Kokaji" is popular among many Noh plays, and the dashing pattern (action), the sound of the hayashi with slow and fast movements, and the power of the local songs bring everyone to the extraordinary world. I think I can guide you.
Also, in the Kanze school, there is no performance of "Small Blacksmith" in Maimaibayashi, but for this project, it will be performed in a small book (special production) "Shigeki Kuroto".
"Kokaji" is also performed in Kabuki. By attaching a small book of "Shigeki Kuroto", it is a content that anyone who is familiar with Noh and Kabuki can enjoy.

It is an anecdote of "Sesshoseki" that is still handed down in Nasu, Tochigi Prefecture.
This time, we will take a look at the latter half of the Noh "Sesshoseki", which is gaining popularity as a spectacular Noh.
Noh is often thought of as boring when it takes a long time. However, I think that the image will be overturned if you look at this semi-competent "Sesshoseki".
The protagonist, the fox, is Zhang himself, who once worked badly in China, India, and Japan and shook the world into turmoil.
However, when defeated by the imperial court, it turns into a poison stone and kills people and animals approaching it.
It may be similar to the current chaotic situation that has brought the world.
At the end of this Sesshoseki, the fox that emerged from a large stone crop (a prop) disappears, promising that it will never do evil things again due to the mourning of Osho Genoh (armpit). I hope that the world will return to normal as soon as possible, so please enjoy it.

My grandfather, Tojuro Sakata, is very pleased to be able to work for "Kuzunoha," which he has played many times in this Kabuki performance.
Based on the story that the white fox turns into a woman and becomes the wife of Abe no Yasuna and gives birth to a child who will later become Seimei Abe, this time after the true identity of the white fox appears and hides in Shinoda no Mori, my husband and I We will express the sadness of parting with the child and the keren taste of the fox as Kabuki dance.
