Solo exhibition of Naohisa Inoue, the painter behind the Studio Ghibli anime “Whisper of the Heart”, will be held in Ginza

December 21 (Wednesday) to 26 (Monday), 2022 [Ends at 5:00 pm on the last day] Ginza Mitsukoshi Main Building 7F Gallery

Naohisa Inoue, a painter who named the landscape in his heart "Iblard".
He has published art books and picture books set in that world, and Mr. Inoue's view of the world was introduced in the episode "Baron's Kureta Monogatari" in the Studio Ghibli animation "Whisper of the Heart".
In addition, a short animation of "The Day I Got a Star" (original work by Naohisa Inoue) was directed by Hayao Miyazaki and screened at the Ghibli Museum's "Saturn". It is gaining popularity.
From December 21st (Wednesday) to December 26th (Monday), 2022 (ending at 5:00 pm on the last day), a solo exhibition will be held at the gallery on the 7th floor of the Ginza Mitsukoshi Main Building. About 40 works, including prints, will be displayed in the center.
